Pregnant Food Cravings - Taco Bell?!

Pregnant Mamas: I'm 8 weeks along, and nothing has really tasted truly delicious the last few weeks. I'm not one for fast food, but I just went and got a "mexican pizza" at Taco Bell. And I am in HEAVEN. I never knew Taco Bell could taste so freaking amazing! It was like angels were singing while I was eating it! (I don't think it would ever taste this good if I wasn't pregnant.) So just wanted to pass on the tip - go there and get a "mexican pizza" and see if it does the trick!
(and yes, I'm well aware that this isn't the most healthy option.)

I'm curious what other pregnant moms are craving?

What can I do next?

When I was pregnant with my first I totally craved Taco Bell taco's.... I only ate them twice but it was like you described. A little bit of heaven.

I have NEVER liked Taco Bell before... and am still not a big fan... but it was something about the crunchy taco that was so yummy.

I had hyper-emesis when finally preg with dd (after 3 losses in the year before). Hyper emesis is basically morning sickness gone totally wacko! At one initial point I lost 11 pounds in 10 days and ended up on IV's until I was about 6 mos along (adding vitamins to the nightly bag of fluids at home and getting the site changed every few days).

Once I could eat real food again ALL I wanted was Tostados at Taco bell. Just the flat shell, refried beans, sause, lettuce and cheese. I ate them all the time. Doc said it was fine..I was actually EATING real food, beans had protein...all was fine for me!

Good luck!

Hormones are funny! I couldn't stand Taco Bell when I was pregnant, but I did crave the tacos and hot sauce from Del Taco when i was expecting my oldest. December found me putting a toddler (whom I was babysitting) in his stroller (the car was being used evenings,) bundling us up from the cold and walking a block and a half to get some tacos with tons of hot sauce and pineapple sundaes, sometimes twice a night, lol!
Enjoy your Mexican pizzas : )

HAHA!! My joke through my pregnancy was that my childs first words would be...."Yo Quiero Taco Bell".....LOL!!

I'm not generally a TB fan, but I constantly craved Bean Burritos there. Even when no other food would sit well with me....I could always eat a bean burrito!!

Too funny...I took meticulous care of myself while I was pregnant but the one exception to this was that I ate a heck of a lot of Taco Bell. There's just something about it that is so darn good and I couldn't help myself! Best wishes on your pregancy! :)

OMG, my friend use to WORK at Taco Bell when she was pregnant with her first one. She would work, come home and THEN decide she HAD to have a Mexican Pizza more than ANYTHING. She'd send her now husband back out to go get it for her. Now THAT'S LOVE if you ask me!

Oh man. I am about 8 weeks too. Blah. Nothing sounds good. But the only thing that makes the ick feeling stop is eating.

I am craving savory foods when I am, on the off chance, hungry. Which is only odd cause I have a vicious sweet tooth.

*Sigh... ;)

Cherry cordial kisses, and I could just cry (hormones??) because now that Christmas is over, no one is selling them. I found a lone one yesterday that had somehow escaped the fate of the others bought before Christmas, and it was heavenly!

Ha, I did not crave Taco Bell, but I have LOTS of friends that did.. SO funny.

I craved Corn, fresh spinach, Steaks and Baked potatoes. Perfect meal while I was pregnant.
Could have eaten it every night.

My husband and I were at the grocery store and he asked me.. "You gonna eat all of that", I looked down and had a 2 lb bag of frozen corn! We laughed.. got home and my freezer already had full bags of frozen corn!!!

Bloody Grilled steaks.. just could not get enough.

WOW! All these cravings for Taco Bell, but no mention of Taco John's! Taco John's was my craving with my daughter...well, maybe it wasn't really a craving. I think she just liked it and I liked the way it made her dance the Fandango in there...I grooved on it. Or, at least I think she liked it. LOL

Yes, I crave Taco Bell (specially the tostadas), Stove Top Stuffing, deviled eggs and baked potatoes this pregnancy. Possibly, b/c those are some of the only things I can keep down.

MIlk was my #1 craving!

Hilarious! When I was pregnant with my first all I wanted to eat was McDonald's hamburgers and fries - the first trimester it was the only thing that would stay put - and if I so much as smelled pasta sauce I would be sent RUNNING to the bathroom (pasta of all kinds is my absolute favorite so it was really funny to be so sick from sight and smell of it!). I also craved tropical fruits with all three pregnancies - limes, mangoes, pineapple, etc. With my youngest I was just like you - Taco Bell just did something for me...must be something in their sauce lol!

So funny! With my first child I couldn't bear to even look at a Taco Bell let alone eat it and that was 12 years ago. I still cannot eat Taco Bell (the mexican pizza was my favorite before). Ha ha. Funny how different we all are. My biggest craving with all four of mine was apples. I would plow through about 7 to 8 apples per day. So note to all pregnant women out there, you will NEVER get constipated if you eat that many apples when you are pregnant. : )

I had a different cravings for each kids after the apple thing. With my first I was a vegetarian and wanted nothing but hamburgers at about 5 months, #2 all I wanted was cheese and couldn't do creamy peanut butter but couldn't get enough of crunch peanut butter (figure that one out), #3 all I wanted was sweets, sweets, sweets and couldn't do beef, and #4 I wanted everything and I mean everything (gained 80 lbs.)

Enjoy!

With my first, I like the quesadillas at Taco Bell. Never have eaten TB since then though. I also liked anything sour apple with him.
