WOW!!!! your only 22! SLOW DOWN. You shouldnt have been even doing anything to get pregnant if your daughter is only 4 weeks old. But, to answer your question you can absolutely get pregnant during this time. Your probably more fertile now. Anyway, GOOD LUCK! and get some birth control LOL!!

It is possible to get pregnant before your six week check-up. You and your husband should not be doing anything till after the six weeks anyway but things happen :). You might as well wait and not take a test because of the change and everything going on right now the test might not be right. So I would wait till you go to the doc and if there is a chance you could be pregnant again tell your doc and they will be able to tell you. Don't think about it cause it will drive you nuts. Focus on your new little angel. And congratulations!!!

Yes, you can get pregnant, but it is not recommended to get pregnant right away after giving birth. Your body needs at least 6 months to recover from having the baby- to replenish the blood supply, nutrients, heal down there, allow the uterus to return to its usual shape and position, etc. I suggest taking a pregnancy test (one of the early indicator ones) if you think you are pregnant. If you end up not being pregnant, make sure you use condoms or the pill or something so your body can recover properly. There is a higher incidence of low birthweight babies and complications in moms that get pregnant again within 6 months of having a child.

Yes, especially if you are not breastfeeding. They would determine your EDD by ultrasound. You could take a pregnancy test as soon as you think you are.

Yes, your dr will figure out your due date. Good luck~ you may have your hands full. Then again I didn't have a menstrual cycle for months after having my boys especially if breastfeeding but that still doesn't mean you can't get pregnant

If you are not breastfeeding, your fertility will return quickly. Moms who breastfeed exclusively & ecologically (no bottles, pacifiers, supplementation of any kind, no solids, no water) can't really get pregnant in the first 3 months postpartum. For more info: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/normal/fertility.html

It is possible to get an early return of fertility if breastfeeding exclusively though I've never met any exclusively breastfeeding mom who got pregnant within the first 6 weeks postpartum.

Anyway, I'd imagine that you could take a pregnancy test whenever you want! And from there, you could get a range of your EDD. Wow, I can't imagine being pregnant again so soon after 9 months of pregnancy/giving birth - if you are pregnant again, please make sure you eat *really* well/healthfully since your body has been through a very taxing 9 months already and is facing another 9 months of growing *another* baby. Best of luck to you!

They should be able to tell you if you are pregnant or not from a blood test or an internal ultrasound. Ultrasounds detect pregnancy very early on by identifying a "yellow body" sac in the ovary that has produced an egg that got fertilized. The "yellow body" sac sustains the egg until it gets settled in in your uterus and starts drawing nutrients from it. I had such an ultrasound done a week ufter my missed period, and at first they thought that I had a cist on my ovary, but it turned out to be pregnancy.
