Check out the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility (www.tcoyf.com). I knew I was pregnant both times from taking my temperature. It also explains how to tell when you are about to ovulate. The book helped save a lot of money on ovulation predictor kits and pregnancy tests - both of which I used prior to the book - as well as the disappointment of a negative pregnancy test. Of course this won't help if you're looking for something to test right now.
Best of luck to you!

I seem to recall "Answer" is one of the best and highest level of detection without ordering online.

I liked Clear blue easy digital because there was no faint line business.. it said pregnant or not pregnant and that was that!

Personally, in the past I've used the digital pregnancy tests just because I'm paranoid and like to make sure I get the right result! But, everyone is correct about one thing, false positives are rare, so, no matter what kind you get, make sure you have more than one, just so that you can resolve any doubts you have about your results.

It doesn't matter what brand you use. If you are pregnant you will see a positive result. There are very few false negative results anymore. Dollar tree has them and they work just as well as the $24.00 ones you can buy at Walmart. Save some money and buy a couple dollar tree ones, you will probably be so excited and shocked when one comes out positive you will want to take another one, so have one ready!

My last pregnancy I got a positive (very faint, but a positive) with the Longs brand test. When I went to the doctor to confirm, they didn't even get a faint positive on theirs. They sent me to get blood work and called the next day telling me I was pregnant. My friend used the Walgreen brand. I've also heard that the dollar store ones are really good.
Honestly, I think they are all the same so if they are cheap, you can buy more and test more =O)
Best of luck!
