Absolutely. Wait another week and test again. If it's negative then and you still think you are pregnant, go to the dr and get a blood test.

Hi M., First just calm down. If it said negative it probaly is, if you are still getting the symtoms, missed period, feeling like throwing up, very tired or very sore breasts then you can try another test in 1 week. Sometimes you are to early for it to show up on a test. The dollar store sells them for $1. Now I don't know your parents, but if my daughter was scared and in trouble, NO MATTER WHAT I would want her to talk to me. I would be sad, dissapointed but I would love her and help her. So I think you need to first talk to a grown up you can trust. If not your parents then maybe a local church or Christian Crisis pregnancy center. Also remember abortion can be VERY dangerous and you should not even think about it with out an adult. There are so many other options that are not so emotionaly and physicaly dangerous. Please let me know that you are ok, I will pray for you. I know it can be very scary, but it is not the end of the world and you can come through this. -J.,mother to 8-

YES! I always got a false negative because I didn't do the test right. The best way is to see the doctor for a blood test. HOme test are the most accurate when done first thing in morning. For some women the home test are negative due to low hormone levels.

a false negative is possible if you took it too soon and the pregnancy hormone hasn't increased to a traceable amount in your urine yet.

If you do not get your period, see a Dr. or retest a few more times. yourself. No test is completely accurate, I was in the hospital and before x-rays they tested me, whatever the "new test" is that they use nowadays, came in my room and told me I was pregnant. I screamed, "What?, I know that is impossible". They said, "yeah sure thats what they all say". So I insisted to be retested and they did, using the "old test" and sure enough I was not pregnant. The head of the Lab came in to apologize to me but let me tell you, I did not need all that added stress, LOL!

i took a pregnancy test a day or two before i was supposed to get my period and it worked for me (and it was with a pg test from the dollar tree). they are typically correct. however, there are some people who do need to get a blood test done. i had a co-worker who took several, and all were negative. when she had a blood test done, it was positive. if you have some symptons of being pregnant, remember, there are a lot of other reasons that may be contributing to these things. i have gas bubbles so bad, that i would SWEAR that it was a baby kicking. you can even see my stomach moving when they pop. it's crazy :). anyway, if you have a feeling that you are pregnant, and the test comes up negative, just keep taking your vitamins, and either wait for a bit before taking another one or go to your doctor and make sure with a blood test.

If you happen to take the test to early you may get a negative result. My understanding is that you need to wait at least 14 days after possible conception. Also, if you periods are not regular or you are not exactly sure how many days your cycle is between periods - it is easy to accidently test to early.
I was still nursing when I got pregnant - so my periods were not normal nor did I know how long my cycle was. I ended up taking 6 tests before I received a positive result - which was a round 14-15 days after conception.
Hope you get the results you are looking fore.

Hi M., pregnancy test are never wrong if they say pregnant BUT they can be wrong if they say not pregnant-so yes you could be pregnant. You should see your dr for a test

It depends on how close you are to your period. They are incredibly accurate once you are several days or a week past your due date. But only 60-80 percent accurate from 5 - 2 days before your period.
