Pregnancy Pillows

I'm 16 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and I am looking for a good body pillow. It's getting harder to sleep comfortably the bigger I get! I used the snoozer pillow with my daughter and loaned it to another friend who is expecting. I'm just wondering if anyone thinks there is a better pillow out there. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I have the full-sized Boppy 24/7 Maternity pillow. It's big like the Snoogle and is about the same price. I think I paid $55 for it at Target, but it was well worth it. My midwife recommended the Snoogle. I got the Boppy b/c the store was out of the Snoogle when I went and I was so desperate for sleep, I saw the Boppy and bought it. It has been great. I've used it through 2 pregnancies and it's the only reason I got any sleep. My husband steals it and uses it when I'm not pregnant.

I took a prenatal yoga class from a very experiences pg yoga instructor and she was able to teach us just the perfect way to get comfy with regular pillows and it was awesome!

I had my son two months ago and sometimes I wish my husband would still let me use my huge maternity pillow! The Leachco All Nighter Total Pillow was absolutely awesome - especially since I'm a tummy sleeper and had a really hard time adjusting to sleeping on my side. Here's the link for it at Amazon.

Good luck!

I actually custom sized and made a pillow while I was pregnant, and have since done so for several pregnant friends. This hasn't grown into a business as of yet, but if you're interested in finding out more, send me a message. I call it the Preggo Pillow, and basically, for $25 - $30 (depending on the fabric you choose), I could make you a pillow and removable pillow case that would be sized to you. For an average height person (5'4 - 5'8 or so), that would be about 9" wide by 32" long. Again, though, I could size it however you wanted it. Depending on where you are, you could pick up or pay for shipping. I'm in East Berlin, CT.

For me, the Back 'N Belly Snoogle was a life saver! I would not suggest the basic Snoogle because it is less pillow and I have heard a lot of complaints. This pillow is not cheap, but worth every penny. I am getting mine from storage soon since I am 18 weeks pregnant myself!

I loved the Snoogle.
In case you are a taller person... I have seen reviews from taller women who did not like it. I am 5'3" and it worked great for me.

I think all the pillows are a rip off just to make you spend money. I am 30 weeks in my self and my best pillow is the boppy pillow and it is not to much $$$$$, lately I can't sleep at night for the same reason the minute I use that pillow I fall right to sleep! Good luck

Through both my pregnancies I used a u shaped body pillow. It is $99, but was absolutely the best investment. It allows you to roll from side to side without having to readjust pillows and is much longer than any others I have seen on the market!!! My husband didn't like it so much since it is large, but knew I needed it and it was temporary-he is also the one that found and bought it for me.

I too loved my snoogle - it was only about $50, but would have paid twice that! My only advise is to not was the cover in hot, mine shrunk a bit and was a little harder to get afterwards.

It looks like you've gotten lots of great advice here, A.! Your request reminded me of how when I was pregnant, (19 & 17 years ago) each night, I'd arrange my five pillows for comfortable sleep, and my husband would always playfully ask: "Are you building your nest?" Two pillows went under my head, one under my left side, (under my chest) one between my knees, and one on top, under my right arm, to make the weight of my arm more comfortable over the big belly. Hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do for yourself, right? Blessings to you and your family with the new little one in July!

I LOVED with both my pregnancies the Snoogle by Leacho Pregnancy Body Pillow. Ugh it was a life saver! You can get it at Babies R Us for around $50.00, WELL WORTH THE PRICE!
Congratulations on the baby!

I bought a body pillow at Babies R Us called The Snoogle. And I LOVE it! It has helped out so much! It was a bit pricey (around $60) but in my opinion it was totally worth it! I hope this helps! Good luck!
