Pregnancy Cravings, Not food...smells!

I cannot really say that there are many foods that I crave during pregnancy. Maybe a little something here and there. But what I REALLY want in the way of cravings are things that smell good. My last pregnancy all I wanted all the time was to take a shower with Saint Ives 'Energizing Citrus' bodywash. I used up 4 bottles of the stuff while I was pregnant. There was actually a little left when I got home from the hospital after having my daughter, and I couldn't wait for my shower with my bodywash...only to find out that I hated the smell of it?! WOW. Hormones ARE crazy!
So this pregnancy I want to use Tide laundry detergent on my clothes, I love the way it smells on wet laundry! I sent my hubby to the store after her got off work to pick some up because we had run out. I sent him a text letting him know that the Tide to get HAD to be both original scent AND powder. If not, forget it! LOL....anybody else in my boat? Share :)

What can I do next?

When I was pregnant with my first son, I loved the smell of butter-flavored Pam cooking spray! It made me so hungry and it took all of my will-power not to spray it in my mouth.

Funny!! I craved the smell of lavender but I was more of a food crave-er and that was anything with avocado!

Here are some more interesting cravings I saw the other day:

When I was pregnant with all 4 of mine, I could not get enough of the scent of lemon-scented cleaning products. I would stand in the cleaning product aisle in the store and open every one of them until I found one that "fixed" the craving, then buy that one and go home and clean (whatever that particular cleaner was meant for) for however long it took to cure the craving. I've always enjoyed the smell of cleaning products, but it was crazy when I was pregnant. I also would crave the smell of Vicks. I used to carry around one of those vapor inhalers (the kind you put on your nose to help clear your sinuses) and pull it out several times a day, lol.

I did have food cravings during my pregnancy, but as far as smells go, I remember I couldn't get enough of the smell of my boyfriends deordorant. But it had to be on him, not just from the can! LOL I wouldn't stick my face in his armpit, but I couldn't wait for him to put his arm around me while sitting on the couch. =)
BTW I crave Tide now. I hate washing my clothes in anything else (and I am not pregnant). hehehehehehe

My mom's best friend takes the cake with the weirdest pregnancy craving ever! She craved the smell of moth balls! She actually carried them in her pocket and every now and then, she would take them out and take a big ol' wiff and then put them back in her pocket!! LOL Goofy.

Me too! With my second and fourth kids it was Pine Sol. Maybe it's the nesting instincts and the fact that Pine Sol is "the smell of clean" but I was a mopping fool for most of those pregnancies. I even made solution to put in a spray bottle so I could do counters and bathrooms.

I have to be honest, though, I also craved big macs, steak, baby ruths, oranges, and all kinds of other stuff during the pregnancies.

Congratulations to you!
