just looking for someone who has been through multiple miscarriages with no explanations and then had a successful pregnancy. I have 2 kids from my first marriage and have been trying to have a baby with my second husband now for almost 7 years. I have had 6 confirmed miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy and have been tested for everything under the sun. So has my husband. They can't find anything wrong with either of us. I have been to 3 different specialists. Anyone experience anything like this??

What can I do next?

i have had 5 confirmed miscarriages and 2 beautiful boys. 3 miscarriages before i had my first son and 2 before i had my 2nd son. for the longest times they couldnt figure out what was wrong with me and they decided to do extensive blood work. they found out that i have a blood clotting disorder called mthfr (not sure the actualy medical term). its in the thrombofilia family. basically when i become pregnant my body creates blood clots and forces my body to terminate the pregnancy. so if from now on i want to become pregnant i have to see my doctor first and have to do blood thinning injections into my stomach everyday. it sucks but it was well worth it to have my 2nd son.

Hi K.. First, let me say I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost two babies myself, when I was married to a man that I knew would take care of us. We later got divorced. In December of 03, I became pregnant with twins. I had them in July of 04. I've since had two more miscarriages. Sometimes, your body just attacks the egg and kills it. There's no reason to it..it just happens. Keep trying.....good luck and blessed be.

hi K., sorry for your loss(es). for me it turned out to be genetic due to my ethnic background. I ended up taking fertility drugs, PGD testing to rule out abnormalities and IVF. For the first trimester I took progesterone to sustain the pregnancy. I had a baby in Feb 05 and am expecting another in April going the same route. A friend needed to take heperin (sp?). Sometimes the "plumbing" works but there are hormonal issues, chromosome issues etc. I'm not sure what kind of testing you've have but often times depending on your age specialists will only do certain tests unless requested. 7 years is too long not to run the full gamut of testing. My suggestion is do research on the internet - google.com is great and seek another opinion. If you really want to have another child you may want to look into egg donation. Best of luck of to you. If you have questions please feel free to email me.

Hi K.. I have an 8 year old son and a 2 year old son. I had 3 miscarriages between pregnancies for no apparent reason. For a year and a half between kids, we lived out of state and I didn't get pregnant at all,and that wasn't from lack of trying! My doctor did some testing for blockage in my tubes and they tested my husband as well and found no problems. We moved back to Florida and within 6 months I had the third miscarriage. All my doctors ever told me was it was just bad luck. I feel like when I stopped consciously "Trying" to get pregnant is when it happened for me the second time. Good luck!
