Pregnancy - Lester Prairie, MN
I am just curious. Me and my husband have been trying to have another baby. I know you are supposed to wait until your first childs first birthday, but we are eager to have them back to back and I know that if I wait to much longer my body will not be able to handle it. My first child is 7 months old. Anyways, I am due for my period on Saturday (Dec.2nd), but I am sick and vomiting now. I checked online and I would be 4 weeks pregnant right now. Is it possible to have cravings and vomiting this early in a pregnancy?
So What Happened?™
It loosk like I was not pregnant, but no worries we are still trying. Thanks again for everyone's advice.

Hello M.,
Congrats on maybe being pregnant, with my last child I was sick right away so soon that I thought I had the flu for two weeks before noticing I hadn't had my period that month and found out I was pregnant!! I would suck on lemon drops or cinnamon drops to help because you can't spend all day in the bathroom. Hope this helps.Good luck

Yes, morning sickness is usually worst during the first trimester, so it would be most likely now. My cravings started the day I conceived. I started eating double dinners (like i would make a can of spaghettio's... and then have a 2nd!, was craving taco bell one day... drove there after work, saw boston market, and decided on both cause I couldn't choose... and ordered a lot at both because I couldn't decide!) This was all during the first days of conception. I luckily had no morning sickness... but the cravings were definitely there! I used the EPT digital test... and was very impatient, and it still showed up. We realized I was probably pregnant within a week (I was also having pains in my stomach), that was a saturday night, and I wasn't supposed to get my period until the next Saturday, so we were waiting until then to take a test. That Tuesday, because of the way I had been feeling all day, I knew it and just couldn't wait anymore, so took a test after work, and it said PREGNANT. I went to the dr that Thursday, and their test was negative, so I was confused. But the EPT digital test was right, I was pregnant. If you are impatient... just go buy that test, and it might help rest your mind! If you are already feeling like that, then I am sure that the hormones are strong enough to show up on the test. Either do 1st thing in the morning, or wait a while and hold it in so that the hormones can get to a higher level, and it will be more accurate. Good luck! :)

Sure, if you ovulated earlier than you thought, you could be having symptoms now. Take a test and see! Good luck!

Never heard of any rule saying you had to wait, but I am worried about what you said about your body not being able to handle it? Generally, it's your family and your body, space them however you want, but if there is a reason this could be dangerous for you, check with your obgyn first.
However! It may not be necessary from the sounds of it. My husband jokes about how I had symptoms from the moment of conception. I felt weird from literally one week along, so youcould definately be feeling things by now! Good luck.

Congrats! Yes its possible... I was only two weeks pregnant and I was having cravings.. apple juice and i have never liked apple juice. About a week after that I began feeling sick and my breast were sore all the time. Then I found out we are expecting.. all of this was before I missed my first period. As for having your kids back to back I think its great! My two youngest are 11 1/2 months apart to the day. For me it was so much easier, feeding, changing, bathing, naps all at the same time. When they got older they learned to tie thier shoes, potty Plus the boys are so close to one another. I hope it's just as great for you and it was for me.

Don't worry about waiting until your child is 7 months to conceive -- I had a 3 month old when I got pregnant with baby #3! A little scary that they were so close in age, but the pregancy and baby were both very healthy.
I was sick with all 3 pregnancies and the symptoms seemed to start immediately after I found out I was pregnant. So hang in there, it sounds like baby #2 might be on its way!
