Hi all! I am currently prego with # 3 and had a question for you lovely ladies! With my first two pregnancies both girls I had horrible morning sickness the whole 9 months. This time I have occasonal naseau and very seldom throw up. My question is this, Wit your pregnancies did you notice a diference in the way you felt with diferent genders? I am still to early to know what this one is, but just wondering if it is a boy because of how well I feel! ( will be happy if it is a girl too)

What can I do next?

With my first (a boy) I had NO sickness whatsoever, this time (another boy) I was sick until 5+ months and still have some nausea and sickness (at now 40+ weeks).

It's so different for everyone... Good luck either way!

I have one of each and was miserably sick all nine months with both--very little difference. I was maybe slightly less sick (but I also took more meds) with my second--the girl. Each pregnancy is unique, but it really doesn't have anything to do with the baby's gender.

OH NO! Nausea has NOTHING to do with gender. I wish people would stop believing this old wives tale. I was sick with all of mine and I'm pregnant with my 4th and this pregnancy was worse than the other three....and I'm pregnant with a girl. The first two were girls, the third was a boy. Hormones are the only reason women get nauseated. The gender of the baby is not responsible for the nausea. I have a friend who was pregnant with a girl and she was NEVER sick. My mom was pregnant with me and she was sick the whole 9 months. BTW: I'm a girl. : )

My first two pregnancies were very different and I have one of each. I am currently 14 weeks with #3 and this feels more like my one with my daughter, so I am thinking girl again.

I broke out more, my hair turned curly (from pin-straight), and I felt more nausea with my girl. I am currently prego with #3 as well -- with #2, no breakouts, some wavy hair, no nausea. With #3, I started breaking out but then it stopped around the end of the 1st trimester, pin-straight hair, and slight nausea....so, I would say I attributed the first 2 to it being 2 different genders but now I am going to have to say, it just was different each time :) I thought for SURE I was having a girl again (given the first trimester breakouts) but sure enough the 20 week U/S says BOY!

Best wishes!

I was the opposite - puked my guts out with my boy and just was pretty good with 2 girls.

I think each preg is just different.

Congrats!

I have 4 boys. I had morning sickness with the first 2 and not with the second 2. When I found out I was pregnant with number 3, I too thought that since I was not throwing up that this was a girl...I was wrong. Number 4 pregnancy felt the same as number 3 (they are only 1 year and 23 days apart in age). Number 1 is 6 years older than number 2.

Nope, sick as hell with all of them. I have girl, boy, and pregnant with girl. The only difference between my girl vs. boy pregnancy, is that with my boy, I felt like my skin looked better, with my girls its just been BLAH! But either way, its all going to drive you CRAZY until you find out. I have absolutely no patience in waiting to find out!

I wasn't sick AT ALL with my first - a boy, and I was nauseous for the first 3 months with my 2nd - a girl. My cousin has 2 boys, and she was horribly sick for the entire 9 months with both. Another friend of mine has 6 kids: 4 boys she wasn't sick with at all, and 2 girls she was sick for the first trimester. Take what you will from any of it, but don't be surprised if it's a girl :) All pregnancies and kids are different :)

I have a boy and girl.
With BOTH, I had terrible morning sickness AND migraines.

Gender didn't matter.
But with my 2nd pregnancy (my son), my Asthma was very pronounced and hard.

I have a girl and am currently pregnant with a boy. I have felt exactly the same both pregnancies and have carried the same. Although, I know ladies who have felt different with boy/girl...I think it is just that every woman is different. I know that doesn't help much.....Good Luck!

I was much more intensely sick with my daughter and I attribute it to the surge of female hormones from both of us. My son brought on nausea, but not as bad as my daughter. The real difference was appetite -SO STRONG with my son with (ironically) very little weight gain; complete opposite with daughter. Who knows?!?! SO glad for you and your fam-we have decided to go for No. 3 and I love sharing stories with fams of 5!

My FIL was convinced that I was having a boy with my first pregnancy because I wasn't sick and my MIL didn't get sick with her boys, but did with her daughter. (I had a girl with my first.) I got a little nauseated with this one early on, but I don't know if it's a different gender yet, so I can't offer that comparison! My own mother never got sick with any of us (2 boys, 1 girl). Every pregnancy is different (as you are probably well aware!) and so is every woman. Just cross your fingers! lol.

I always got a big kick out of gender predictions. With my first pregnancy I had so many people say I MUST be having a boy because of how I was carrying, but they couldn't have been more wrong because I had twin girls. I had nausea for about 6 weeks with the girls. I was much sicker for much longer my second pregnancy, (about 20 weeks until I could get off the couch!) and it was a boy. Congrats on your family!

I noticed a difference in genders. I am pregnant with my 3rd and it is a boy and my first 2 were girls. Everything in this pregnancy has been different, even my weight gain. I knew it was a boy from the get go since the pregnancy was so different but I didn't want to get my hopes up. But my 20 week ultrasound confirmed it.

Everyone says that every pregnancy is different and it doesn't matter about the gender. But I a a believer that my boy pregnancy has been recognizably different than my girl pregnancies.

Congrats! My answer won't help you :-) I have 3...first was a girl, followed by 2 boys. My first and second pregnancies were identical (no sickness, no cravings, etc.) and my third was totally different (VERY sick for first 4 months). My first and third also had/have the same sleep patterns and my second was the opposite, so I don't think there is any gender connection there either.

Yes! Like you, I was very sick with my daughter but with my two boys I felt sick but could "talk myself out of it" and would only be sick on occassion.

I was not sick at all with my son and sick with my daughter. I have read that with the additional female hormone in your body, it can lead to more sickness.

Also, with my son, I barely showed in the front and had no waist. With my daughter, I'm all belly.

Well, my personal experience backs up your implied theory. My first two were boys and I had only occasional queaziness for a couple weeks early on. My third was a girl, and I was REALLY REALLY sick for the entire first trimester!

Either way, congratulations to you and your family!!

:)

Sorry, no such luck! With my daughter and my son, I was sick for about a week. I did carry totally different (all around with the girl and basketball with the boy), but the only really difference between the two pregnancies was the kidney infections I kept getting with my son. Now, my third is a girl, and this pregnancy, I have had absolutely NO sickness, and really no symptoms at all.
