Pre School - North Port,FL

I would like to find a good Pre School, not daycare, in the North Port/Port Charlotte/Venice FL area. Does anyone know of any?

What can I do next?

My son goes to Venice Church of Nazarene Preschool and I love it. I too looked around at several preschools and loved this atmosphere. Class sizes are fairly small compared to others and my son is thriving and ready for Kindergarten next year.

I do not know how many responses you have gotten, but have you tried Achievements Learning Center in North Port? It is not a daycare and is a very good preschool.
Just go and they will give you a tour of the place and you will see that the teachers interact with the children and they do alot of hands-on activities. It is a very good school for children to go to and my niece enjoyed it and learned quite a bit when she was there. They also take one year olds if you are looking for a place for your son.

Hope you find the right place for you and your children....Good Luck and remember to keep =) Smiling!!!!

HIGHLY recommend Venice Christian School. They have a
3-year old program, 2 days a week and a 4-year old program for either 3 or 5 days a week. My oldest daughter started there when she was 4 in the 3 day a week program, and is currently still there in 1st grade. She was reading in Kindergarten!! We can't wait for our 2-year old to start there next year. An AWESOME preschool (definitely not day care). Located on Center Rd., between Jacaranda Blvd. and River Rd. Phone: ###-###-####
Good luck!

When I put both of my daughters in pre school I went and visited the preschools myself. I called ahead and asked to come during there instructional time. I wanted to see what they were learning and how the teacher kapt control of the class during teaching time. If they have a clear teaching schedule and they abide by it whatever day you stop it. I never scheduled an appointment I just asked there schedule and asked if I could stop by. The element of surprise gives you a much better idea of what they actually do. Good Luck.
