I bought this for my daughter, but I didn;t find that it helped. She didn't really get into it. Cute video, but don't think it really taught her anything.
Has anyone purchased the ELMO potty training video? I'm considering purchasing it but I'd like to know if anyone found it helpful before I spend the money.
Thanks, M.

I have it. I really don't know if it helped, but it's pretty cute. My son has been potty-trained for over a year now, but he still likes to watch it.
i don't know about the video either, but www.sesamestreet.org/games has an elmo potty time "game" where they just hit a button to help elmo, zoe, or baby bear go to the bathroom. it's pretty cute (and free) and really kept my son's attention. might want to check it out!
Before you do that, I would get on the Huggies pull-ups website and order a FREE potty training DVD. They shipped it to my house within the week and I didnt pay a penny. If it doesnt help you havent lost any money, but if it does you saved yourself from buying the Elmo one. Just a suggestion. Also you can sign up on their website and get coupons for pull-ups and stuff. Any little bit helps with pull-ups as expensive as they are! Also Luvs and Pampers offer coupons as well, and the Pampers ones I know for sure dont expire for over a year!
Hope this helps!
I have this video and used it with my twin boys. They loved it!! I would sit them on their potties with the Elmo video on, most of the time one of them would go while it was on. when I would tell them it was time to sit on the potty they would ask for Elmo. And the video is quite funny from an adult perspective!! My husband and older boys just die laughing!! The twins became very excited to where big boy underwear and not have to wear pampers anymore.
L., Mom to 10 wonderful children!
My son didn't really get into it, though at the time he LOVED Elmo. Didn't keep his interest.
My son likes the video, but it really hasn't helped much with the actual potty training. We're still working on that.
Good Luck!
I have it right now and I don't know that it's motivating my daughter all that much. It covers going on the pot, has a few songs about not giving up, covers the different names for #1 & #2, talks about washing hands but I don't know that she's putting it all together even though she enjoys the video. The one that inspired her the most is one called "No More Diapers" because it is more focused. At any rate, I would recommend getting them from the library to view before purchasing anything. I just did a search under toilet training and was surprised at everything available.
It was cute, my daughter loved watching it but I don't know if it helped her with potty training.
We have the Elmo Potty Training video. Our 2-year-old loves Elmo and enjoys the video...she doesn't really want to potty at all but I don't know if the video has anything to do with it...
My daughter did and my grandaughter just loves it... she sits and when I ask her potty she tells me what she needs to do.
our little girl enjoyed it, but i never really noticed that it motivated potty time in particular
I don't know about the Elmo video but if you go to Pull-ups.com and get a free potty training video. You might try that before you spend the money on Elmo.
I have it, and though my son loves Elmo and all things Sesame Street, he had no interest at all in this video. I think it's too long to be really helpful, but that may just be the case for my way active little guy. If you want mine, you're welcome to it!
the library has a lot of potty training dvds and videos you could check out instead. given the short duration need, that is what we did. just a thought.
I haven't read your other responses, but here's my take. My son loved the video, but I don't think it really helped him get trained. You can go online at sesamestreet.org and look under Elmo and see part of the potty training video for free. It's cute, but was too annoying for me (Elmo's voice rubs me the wrong way!). Good luck with the training!!
My son is almost 2.5y/o and he loves the video. I don't think it has helped much though, but it hasn't hurt either. He's just taking his time with things, and for now I'm letting him. I don't think it can hurt, and it's something your daycare kids (I'm assuming it's for them?) would enjoy watching even after trained...
We have the video and our oldest son liked it. The library has a copy of it that you can borrow and preview. Target sells the video for $10.
Good luck
