Ever since i was pregnant, i've had the problem that my jeans slide down cause I have a very small butt/legs, but have a "spare tire", "love handles", "muffin top" (should i keep going?)... So stuff that fits me around the waist and is waaaayyy too big in the butt and legs. Stuff that fit me in the butt/ leg area, i either cannot button, or is tight and really makes me "muffin" over the top. I've tried low jeans, i've tried medium rise, no luck yet. I do fit into my pre-prego jeans, i just muffin over the top of them so bad! I am currently at 139 lbs (only 9 lbs to go to pre-prego weight!! go me :) )
Anyone else have this problem, and found the perfect jean?? PLEASE HELP!!

What can I do next?

I wish I knew the answer but if you find anything out please let me know because I have the EXACT same problem!! I know at one time Aeropostale use to have some higher waisted jeans but I dont know if they still have the same style. Good luck!

Aren't the changes post pregnancy fun?!?!?! I am actually smaller than my prepregnancy size but everything fits differently. I have had excellent success going to Len Druskin. They literally look at you, send you to a dressing room and bring things in. I left the other day with three pair that fit perfectly, and that is after weeks of going all over the place trying on anything and everything.

Good post! I'm no help, either. I am reading up on the advice you're getting, though. I had two c-sections 16 months apart and my tummy will never be the same! I have the same issue of nothing fitting the same anymore. We're obviously not alone! :)

Maternity jeans, I swear by them. They are made for your body shape, go to a good maternity store (Motherhood Maternity is my favorite) and try on several pair. Get the "no panel" type and you won't even know they are maternity, just that they fit your shape well.

S.--same here! Sometimes I wish I had a bigger butt just to fill them out. My butt is flat as a pancake...and I don't have much hips either. If only my tummy would be the same, right?
The only pants that work for me are from American Eagle. I feel old going into the store with a bunch of teens, but I only get their pants/jeans. (Not the ones that have rips and holes in them intentionally!). Every time I try Gap or any other brand---they're huge around the butt&hips.
Good luck!

The only thing I can offer is maybe go for the more expensive, slightly bigger size and find an awesome tailor, who can pull in the butt a bit. I don't know if you're in mpls/ SP. but Hot Mama in Edina and Len Druskin (Galleria) both have awesome jeans and would be well worth tailoring.

I don't feel any shame about wearing maternity jeans until I am able to fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans! Gap has jeans with a "demi panel", great for the earlier stages of pregnancy or for sucking in that muffin top post-partum until it goes away.

I bought a belly band at target in the maternity section, when i was pregnant to help keep my jeans up and i still use it for the ones that are a little big and the ones that are tight. It works great to knida suck in. Spanx are awesome too, or a binder if you have one from post pardom days. I wouldn't go rush out and purchase new jeans if you are that close to fitting into your old ones again, but thats up to you. Good job on losing the weight, how did you do it?

Old Navy Sweetheart cut seems to work ok for me, but like others I found that the weight came off but the body remained a bit changed....

I had the same thing, only in my case it was the opposite--bigger butt and small waist. :) I'm 5'3" and 136, so it sounds like we're similarly sized. My FAVE jeans are Levi's bootcut. (I get mine at Khols.) They are low-rise enough that you can fit them to your legs/butt without too much muffin-top. (But they're not indecdent, either.:))They are nice and stretchy, and give when you wear them, so they should be a little bit form-fitting/snug when you leave the store.

Happy Shopping!

I usually end up around 132 post pregnancy after all the attempts at loosing more with a tiny butt like you. Similar feeling as you and my only solution has been a belt. I have not been able to find any jeans that fit me correct. Even buying Lucky brand jeans does no good. I went as far as scoping out the expensive jeans from nords...with no luck. I never wore a belt before getting pregnant as I seemed to be more Model shape. But I am def. not a model clothes wearer shape anymore :(

I don't have your problem but I do have problems finding jeans/pants that fit me as well.

I am a little over 5'3" with no butt or hips and have lost weight recently, so I don't have any love handles. What I do struggle with, though, is a little "tummy," which is still from childbirth (daughter's almost 10) and the fact that I suffered an abdominal hernia when I had her, but it wasn't found until she was 2.5 years old. I then had surgery--and now can't wear anything up high or tight around or above my belly button. So I buy the low-waist, low-rise jeans and pants, and if it weren't for wearing a belt, they would literally slither down my hips and thighs!

So I know where you're coming from. If it weren't for the undetected hernia, which made my post-pregnancy fitness workouts an absolute horror, I'd probably have no post-pg tummy and it would be easier to find jeans and pants that fit. But I guess that's one of the smaller prices to pay for such a beautiful daughter. ;)

I was having the same problem and finally posted a comment on facebook hoping for some advice from friends. A friend told me about the Stacy London jeans they carry ay ShopKo and I think Walmart, I am almost positive they are Riders by Lee. I was hesitant to try them figuring they wouldn't have anything stylish or wouldn't be good quality, but I was very pleasantly suprised! They have a wide variety of sizes, colors, fits, and styles. They were even on sale that day for $25! I have been very happy with them and they have held up very well in the wash. Best of luck in your search, hope you find something that works well for you! I also had some people recommend the jeans at Vanity, I totally struck out there. Another recommended Gap jeans, but never made it there. Good luck!

I'm shaped like you are and I find that boy-cut or "boyfriend" jeans tend to be cut straighter at the top and not narrowed at the waist and flaired at the hips. Good luck with your search and congratulations on losing your baby weight!
