Possibly Pregnant

I have had the need to urinate more often than usual. a while after i finish drinking something i have to hurry up and go to the bathroom. this has never happened before. i can usually drink a bottle of water and not go to restroom for quite some time. now as soon as i'm done i'm already up to go to the bathroom. also when i urinate and when i'm almost done i feel this pressure right above my pubic bone like i have to push. i'm due to start my period today or tomorrow. is it too soon to take a test.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Besides what everyone else is saying, peeing frequently could also be a sign of diabetes. But hopefully it's not that.

Sounds like you might have a bladder infection or a start of a yeast infection, A doctors visit needs to be done. Don't wait to long if it is a bladder infection it could get painful the longer you wait to go to the doctors.

Good Luck

Hi I.
It seems that you got a bladder infection. try drinking lots of cranberry juice. You can also buy "AZO" which works in the form of a natural med that works in your bladder for pain & makes it easier to urinate to "flush" the bad stuff. You can find it almost at any store over the counter (Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens etc.)

It sounds like it could be a urinary tract infection with the urgency and frequency you describe. Any burning or odd smell to your urine? UTI would be my first thought, especially with the complaint you voice about pressure and wanting to "push". Do you have a MD that works on the weekend, or who you can call? They could order a urinalysis and you'd know pretty quick if it is a UTI and you could start treatment so you'd feel better.

To me it sounds like a UTI or a bladder infection. I will say though I had that feeling at the beginning of my pregnancy, but I also found out I had a UTI at my 1st prenatal vistit. Better get it checked out.

I don't know if it's too early to take a pregnancy test but it sounds like a bladder infection to me. I would check with a doctor re the symptoms. Good luck.

No it is not too soon to take a prego test

as much as I would like to say take a pregnancy test, my urine related pregnancy symptom was that I would get up every night to pee. Never during the day. My medical impression is that you have a UTI. You have "frequency", feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder, urgency. Do you have pain? Any blood in your urine? It may show up as pink right now. I would just have the Dr take a urine sample. They can dip it for UTI and Pregnancy. Definitely drink cranberry juice and water. A TON of it! Good luck.

My first thought was UTI or bladder infection. If you've never had one before I would see the dr, just to get a clear diagnosis. Heck see the dr anyway, they'll probably run a pg test on you just to make sure. Good luck, I hope you're pg and not at the start of an infection.
