Possible Sleep Apnea- Doctor or Sleep Clinic Around?

My husband's snoring is loud enough to wake the dead. I sleep with 25 decibal ear plugs and I have poor hearing and I still hear him like he is right next to my ear. He always wakes up tired, and he is a terrible sleeper. I have decided I can't take it anymore, and for his health he needs to get this checked. He would love to go to a sleep clinic or soemthing and get tested and get something to help him. He currently uses breathe right strips, and those have helped some. So, my question is, does anyone know of a doctor or sleep clinic around where he can go and get tested and learn about his options?

What can I do next?

Here's quite a few through Sleep Centers...my Mom goes to the one in Algonquin, and loves them!

Good Shepard Hospital has a clinic. I went there and had a sleep test. I was refered by my primary dr. and followed up with Dr. Jordan. My husband had a sleep test done at a different clinic but and now wears a C-Pap machine. It makes a huge difference!

Don't know where you live - but there is a Sleep Disorder Center in Arlington Heights. He would be seen initially for a consult by a sleep specialist who would evaluate him and discuss testing, treatment etc...then he would be scheduled for the sleep study - right in Arlington Hts. It's very convenient for patients. Their number is ###-###-####. Good Luck. If he does have Sleep Apnea and gets treated - it can be life changing - for everyone!

I went through my insurance and they sent me to Lake Forest Hospital and they paid 100% of the test Which was $3,000! The staff was very friendly.
