Poll of Your 5 Yr Old Boy Height and Weight

I am hoping that you can share the weight and height of your 5 yr old boy. I am looking to compare the stature and weight of your child to mine. We have some medical issues going on and just want some further...mon-medical insight!
Thank you very much for your help.

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

My son will be 6 at the end of May. He weighs 53 pounds and is 45 1/2 inches tall. His Daddy is 6'4".

Good luck with everything,
J.

My son is approximately 43 inches tall and weighs approximately 35 pounds. He will be 6 in June.

My son is almost 5, he is about 36 lbs and 39 inches, which is about the 25th percentile for each. As a baby he was always the 75th percentile and above. My family is fairly short and tiny. Sometimes I worry that it might be his asthma meds, but they tell me that not breathing well also affects your height. I'm sure it's scary to have a child with heart problems, my prayers are with you and your son. I'm not sure if this will help, but here is a link to a growth chart the MD's use. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhanes/growthcharts/set1clin...

my 5 yr old is 40 pds & 30 somthing inches tall...skinny as can be...but my 7 yr old is 130 pd & 40 something inches tall & is a gentle gaint...when he was 5 he was around 80-90 pds...so it depends...

My son is on the small side. He turned 5 in January. He is 32 pounds and 39 inches tall. His father and I are only 5' 5" and 5' 6".

HI K., our 5 yr old son weighs 57 pounds and is just about 53" tall but he is also the tallest child in all of the Kindergarten classes at his school. Our grandson, who is also 5, only weighs 38 pounds and is about 40" tall, he had open heart surgery at 3 months old and seems to be growing at a much slower pace then our son. Our grandson's doctors have not diag. him with failure to thrive or put a label on him for his slow weight and height gain, as he is healthy in every other way.
Take care :)
