Go to the nearest vet and ask for URINE OFF. It should work in getting the smell out, but may leave a stain, so suggest you fabric test someplace small before applying to the whole area. FYI -- it can be a little expensive, but works pretty well. You can also go to PETSMART; they should have Nature's Miracle Pet Stain and Odor Remover.

Have you tried Natures Miracle, that is available in the pet stores? I found it in PetSmart. It really works! I have tried everything else with my puppy, but only that one takes the smell off too.

Nature's Miracle from Petsmart/Petco works really well. I had to use it own our new bed after the dog left us a present (the bed was only a few days old!) as the smell came out no problem. Its a clear liquid so you don't have to worry about staining. Just be sure to let the area dry well.

Vanilla works wonders! I did an entire room to get out the smell of cat urine. Mix some with water and then rub it on your couch. You may need to do a large area so that a water ring isn't left. Good luck! And don't throw the pup out the window. :-)

Call your local stanley steamer or carpet outlet. See if they have ideas.

Get your little puppy and little fenced in area while he's out playing and the a cage for his nap times.

I first would try leather upholstery cleaner. If that does not work go to Walmart and purchase Urine Gone. It is in a black bottle and is usually in front of the store, but in some stores it is in the back. That is how we broke our dog.

We are doing the puppy thing as well....have you tried the products specially formulated to remove the odor? normally called "urine remover" or "urine odor remover". We have one by Hartz, just picked it up at the grocery store. I would hit it w/ that and then use Fabreeze...the scented type. Hope this helps:)

Nature's Miracle, as others have mentioned works wonders! I wish we had bought stock in the stuff when my dog was a puppy!

There is this stuff at Petsmart in a White bottle with pink writing. I am not sure what it is called but it works great, it only takes a few minutes and you can use it on anything. I am trying to remember the name but I can't. But anyway, it is in a white bottle with bright pink writing and green or black detail. It works so good, I used it for both my puppies. And it neutralizes the pee smell, too.

You could try Urine B-gone. We have used that on a lot of different fabrics and it has worked on the stain and the smell.

Nature's Miracle. The key is to keep the area wet with the Nature's Miracle so the enzymatic cleaner can work. Follow the instructions on the container.

I agree with using Nature's Miracle. White bottle - red or green ____@____.com is an enzyme - so you saturate the area and let the enzymes eat up the germy, stinky odor. That's how I think of it anyway. Unlike a deorderizer that just covers up the smell or a spot remover that drives it further into the fibers - Nature's Miracle actually eats up the bateria that causes the smell.

natures miracle might work...

You need to get a enzymatic cleaner that will break down the urine particles. You can find these at Pet Smart.

Simple Solution. It's in a white bottle at PetSmart. We use it in the boys bathroom at the ball field.

The others have good suggestions for now that the stain is gone. In the future (since I'm sure your kids will have accidents too) put baking soda on the spot. this will clean the spot as well as take out the smell (isn't that why we put it in the fridge?). Just pour baking soda on the spot and let it sit. Once it has soaked up the stain, vaccuum the baking soda.

I have never had to get a urine odor off my leather couch, however, I have had to use it on my mattress from where the dog decided to punish us for not taking him with us on a day trip. I took baking soda and mixed with water to form a paste consistancy. I then generously covered the areas where the dog had peed. I let it dry completely and then vacuumed it off and the smell was gone. However, since baking soda is a Salt with acid/base properties, I'm not sure if this will cause discoloration of the leather. If I come across other ideas, I will definitly pass them along.

This is the best formula I have found;
2 cups hydrogen peroxide
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 drops dish washing soap (like dawn)
Stir together gently, spray until the spot is saturated, let dry completely. If the smell is really bad you may have to repeat the application. You should test the solution first on a hidden spot, to make sure it doesn't change the color of the fabric. I haven't had a problem so far with this solution affecting colorfastness, but it never hurts to be careful.

Try a mixture of 1 part vinegar 2 parts water. Spray it on the spot... That's usually good to get smells out... I'm not sure about trying it on leather! Try a small test area 1st in an inconspicuous location.

You could try the anitbactiral fabreeze! That could get ride of the smell.. I have a Golden Ret. that pees everytime we have company its a nightmare! :) good luck.. T.

try Stink Out...I believe that's the name. It comes with a Stink Finder hand held black light...I bought it at Petco. $20!!

There is a product you can get from a vets office called "Equalizer" It is a stain & oder remover. It is the only thing that will work. If your vet does not have it, ask them to get it for you. It should be around $12 for a can. It works wonders!!!

Lovely smell huh?! About a year ago, the place I used to had a lot of ferral cats & we would feed them. Well one was very friendly & would walk in the front door & climb in my lap. Well, long story short, after he got in a fight we spent about $300 on him we talked the owner into letting us keep him in until we found a home for him. Well the first night, he sprayed the whole office. The next morning it was worse than awful!! I went to Petco & they have a spray that totally neutralized the smell. It wasn't a cover up spray I mean the smell was gone in about 8 hrs. Now remember we had to spray walls, carpet, office chairs, etc. I don't know if you can use it on furniture but it won't hurt to go to the store & check. Just ask one of the clerks. I think I spent about $14 but it was worth it.
Keep your chin up. Just think by the time the puppy is potty trained you'll have to start with your munchkin.

We had brand new carpeting, a potty training 2 year old and a potty training puppy at the same time so I feel your pain! We used this stuff called Nature's Miracle (a white and red bottle) from PetCo. It's about $10 and worth every penny. It's easy b/c it comes in a spray bottle so no mixing and everything when you're busy and the baby's screaming and all that. I'd lay a dry towel over top of where I sprayed to avoid my toddler (or anybody else) from walking/sitting in it until it dried. Keep some around for when you're potty training - works great for those messes too!

Hi there, I know I'm a little late but I just got a sec to get on here before my boys wake up this morning. SoluMel from Melaleuca took cat pee stain AND SMELL out of my account's carpet. And the best part...it is NON-TOXIC! I shared Melaleuca shopping with Doreen back 3 months ago. She had somethings she wanted to try the SoluMel on so when she did she called me. I know exactly how you feel. We had a male cat that ruined our leather couch from peeing on it. But, in that time as well we had three dogs with the youngest being a bassett hound that had a lot of trouble letting us know when she had to pee. But, when we had our carpets cleaned...like all the time...the cleaners suggested a product called ODO-BAN and you can buy it in a large jug from SAM'S Club (that's the only place I've seen it sold). It is very effective in cleaning, disinfecting and deodorizing. You can really use it ANYWHERE in your home and it's got a pleasant aroma to it, too. I glanced at the other suggestions and I honestly will not use anything other than ODO-BAN. You need something that is going to remove the enzymes in their pee that cause the smell and so they go there time and time again and I know you don't want that to happen. TRY ODO-BAN...we have used it FOR YEARS and love it!!!

try rinsing the area with diluted white vinegar. Try it on a hidden spot first. Also, try dusting with baking soda and leaving for a few hours before vacuuming up. Good luck
