Playgroup/Mom's Club Anything Not Catering to SAHM

Search meetup.com. I am part of a meetup and yes there are a lot of things for SAHM moms but we also have a lot of activities at night and on weekends for the moms that work. Good Luck! I just recently became a SAHM so I know the frustrations of working and having a hard time finding mom groups.

Don't have a specific suggestion, but you might try googling "moms playgroup for working moms" (or try a new search engine www.cuil.com). Good luck.

I think there are more of us then we all think. I'm thankful to have SAHM friends that stroll with me after work, but they are not going to be able to relate to a Mom that works outside of the home and then takes care of a child she hasn't seen in 9 hrs. Same with me not knowing what it's like to be with my little one all day every day. Different dynamics.
I live in the M street neighborhood (near Mockingbird Station). Love to meet other working Moms as I honestly only know 1 other in the area. Open to driving to a central place.

I don't have an answer for you, but I just wanted to say it makes me totally nuts, too. I'll be watching this request for suggestions.

I am with you on that it upsets me also, I can never find anything after hours. So sad we have to work two jobs...

Check with your homeowner's association, I know that we have a neighborhood mom's club that also meets on weekends here in Canyon Creek.

I guess I am late to this party -but I am also interested. I find it really hard to find not just play groups, but gymboree classes and that sort of thing for the working mom. I work odd hours and am actually home by 2:30 or so - but still can't seem to make a connection.

I am a working mom (3 year old daughter), I would love to get a few other working moms together for coffee or something, let me know if you would be interested

I have a 13 yr old daughter. I am SAHM but also WAHM because we own our own business.

TO PREVIOUS POSTER..........YES, I can relate to you moms who work outside the home and have not seen your child in 9 hrs, as well as being home with my child all day. Don't discount SAHM's because that is the choice they have made. Many are highly educated who made this choice and are thankful to be at home with children.

Our HOA has a website with social links that has everything from WAHM to SAHM and things to do.

I totally hear you on this one! We have only been in the area about 2 years, and it is really hard to meet other moms and make friends when all of the activities are during the week while we work. I am all for trying to get a group going of working moms that can relate to each other.
