Increased physical activity, particularly through play, appears to be included in the campaign. Here's a link to the website.

HI-
Yes, I think play is very important. Some kids are suffering from 'Nature Deficit Disorder'- they don't know what it is like to play outside and look at bugs and imagine objects in the clouds and just spend time doing nothing outside kicking sticks around. Too many kids are cooped up inside in front of the TV - play is very important for building imagination and developing a complete human being. Good question!

I'm just glad someone has recognised that there is a problem. There is going to be a new show on ABC soon with Jamie Oliver - a UK chef and how he got school meals in Great Britain changed to make them healthier. Now he is coming to the US so lets hope he can do the same here!!

i think both of the obama are idiots who cares what she says. They have an illusion that all of the kids problems are produced by the parents. They are in for a rude awakening when thier kids become teenagers. They said the reason kids flunk our of school is because the parents won't make the kids turn off the tv and do thier homework. I had to drop mine out of school cause they kept changing the credits on him. He would have been 21 when he graduated. I dropped him out put him in job corp and he graduated in 6 months.
How can you run a country when you don't know whats going on in the school system. Why try to live their fairy tale fantasy life when its not reality and raise your kids thier way. they are your kids not thiers and for them to criticize me because of the school system faults just really teed me off.

Are you doing some kind of survey? All of your questions seem like this. I thought this was a forum for moms to find information for personnel reasons.
