Hey Ladies,
After two children and lossing 92 lbs all on my own I am ready to have a body makeover. Just kidding. I really am just looking for a breast reconstructive surgeon, I need a lift and reduction. Has anyone had this done and just adored their doctor? I am open to any suggestions. I just went and tried on bathing suits for our summer vacation for the first time after loosing all the weight and it was very depressing. Children will mess with your body that is for sure and I am just trying to get it looking somewhat back to normal. Thanks for your time in reading this, I can't wait to hear your experiences and suggestions on Doctors!

Another recommendation for Dr. Mason in Southlake! And a definite NO for the dr. that's located in Southlake Town Square - I don't remember his name, but he's the only one with an office there. I've heard nothing good about him, and even my ob/gyn said not to use him!

I had a breast augmentation two years ago and I have been thrilled with my results. My doctor was Dr. Emily McLaughlin; she is in Fort Worth. I really wanted to use a female doctor and the experience was extremely positive. I have also heard very good things about Dr. Mark Mason in Southlake.
Congratulations on losing all of the weight! I know how difficult that battle is!

I haven't had that done, but I did have a tummy tuck and Dr. Mason in Southlake was awesome! He's a perfectionist, and it shows. His staff is really great as well. I highly recommend him and his practice (Southlake Plastic Surgery).

Ten years ago I had a breast augmentation. I interviewed 4 doctors and the doctor I chose was marvelous. I have been thrilled every day with the results and never had a minute's problem. Then my daughter had him do hers too.

His name is Dr. Michael Whetstone and his phone number is ###-###-####. He offices at Irving-Coppell Baylor which is located by Cheddars at 635 and MacArthur. He specializes in breast surgery and especially reconstruction after mastectomies.

Do your research before you talk to doctors. Don't let the location of the doctor influence your decision. The four I met with were located from East Dallas to Fort Worth. This is the person who will determine the success of your outcome.

Good Luck!

I work in surgury at Baylor All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth and have worked with many of the local plastic surgoens doing reconstructions for cancer. I would have to agree that Dr Emily Mclaughlin is very good, but I would also check out Dr Kelly Kunkel (its a guy), and Dr Jonathan Heistein. Interview everyone and go with your gut.

I had breast reduction/lift by Dr. James Ward in Arlington, his work is amazing. I read so many horror stories online about this procedure and his procedure was nothing like any I read. He uses glue not stitches and it minimizes scarring and recovery. Most people said they could not lift thier arms for two weeks to wash thier hair, he had me in the shower the next day and I never experienced any intense pain at all. I had mine in December and I am very happy. He works out of USMD Hospital at Matlock and I-20 in Arlington. His office # is ###-###-####

I used Dr. Rod Rohrich who is at Baylor in Downtown Dallas and UT Southwestern. He is well worth the trip. I had my reduction around 12 years ago and have never had a problem. My breasts look like I have not even had a reduction and he removed 3 lbs on each side. He is very meticulous in his work. My ob/gyn and the the nurses when I have had a mammogram have both remarked on it is one of the best reductions they have seen. You can go to drrohrich.com to learn more about him. Good Luck, it will be one the best things you can do for yourself.

Hi K., after reading some of the other responses I am so jealous. I had the reduction/lift back in Feb by a Dr Raymond Faires. I do not have the warm fuzzie feeling everytime I look at my results. I went from a 36DDD to a C cup. He took too much and I feel like they are completely GONE! it is just muscle left and i have HUGE scaring. Which i knew about, but once you see it, it is a little different. Plus one of the nipples is a little higher than the other one, and it is noticeable when my shirt is off. I had the "anchor" cut, which is a circle around the nipple, a straight line from the nipple to the base and a cut from left to right under the breast. They are perky again, what is left of them and that part is nice, but honestly I probably wouldn't do it again. I should have just had a lift and not such a reduction. Def' do your homework and make sure you are completely confident in your doctor. Look at B4 and after pics of other clients. I didn't do that, he didn't have any to show me. As for the surgery itself, it wasn't really all that bad. Good luck!

I also used Dr. Michael Whetstone and LOVE him. I had tummy tuck, breast lift, breast augmentation and liposuction. My scars are fabulous (minimal) and the work was just as amazing. His personality is great. I can't say enough good about him. In fact, my sister loved the work he did and used him as well. She also is very happy. His staff is responsive, cheerful and easy to work with. They always followed up and returned phone calls promptly. He always erred on the side of caution and would not perform any procedure that was questionable or that would leave you with less than satisfactory results. For example, I wanted lipo in 2 areas that other Dr.'s had agreed to and he told me the implications and the results were not in my favor and said he would not perform the procedure. Anyway, his website is:

I also want to say that he does quite a bit of reconstructive breast surgery as well. I would definitely interview him.

Good luck!

I live in Grapevine and just had a lift and reduction done by a wonderful surgeon in November, but he is in Dallas at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The faility is top notch and brand new. I had a wonderful experience there. There are several surgeons in the group, but I went to Dr. Michael Saint-Cyr. He is a little hard to get into since he is a teaching professor at the medical school I think. Anyhow, I look great and am so glad I did it. Just contact me if you want his info. The drive is really only about 30 minutes and well worth it IMO!

Best of Luck!!

My sister had some cosmetic surgery done by Dr. Kasdan, whose office is in the Southlake Town Square complex.
He does great work, is very professional, & my sister adores him. Although she had other things done besides breast
reduction, I would think he does that type of procedure as well...I know he does breast augmentation so surely he does the reduction. Check him out...I think you'll really be
pleased!

I had a breast reduction done 15 years ago. I had 8 pounds removed. I went from an F cup to a C cup. I have never regretted it. The lady that just had her surgery needs to give it a little time, the first year after surgery your breast may change. It took mine a year to take their actual shape. Also gaining and loosing weight can be a factor. Like everyone else advised, do your research. My doctor is out of Medical City Dallas Dr. Alfred Antonetti.

Dr. Larry Reeves is the best in the area. He has a Ft. Worth and Colleyville office. He just did a lift and implant on my sister 2 weeks ago and they look fabulous!!
He was recommended to her by her neighbor who used him as well and she is a nurse.
Best of luck to you!!
