Plan B Emergency Contraceptive
Yesterday my boyfriend did not pull out as he normally does and I ovulated last night or this morning. I took the Plan B pill this morning but felt the tinging pain I get when I ovulate before I got the pill...Was wondering if anyone else played it this close and did not come out pregnant after taking Plan B.
I'm not on birth control nor did we use anything.
P.S. If you saw my previous question...great timing...urgh!

So What Happened?™
Just read the FDA's report on this pill, it does prevent you from ovulating and if you have already ovulated it prevents fertilization, if your egg has already been fertilized it helps to prevent implantation on the womb. If it has already attached it wont do anything. I'll let you know if I start in 2 weeks or not...
We've used the withdrawal method for 8 years to much success. If we are pregnant its ok, its not in my timing but life doesnt run off my time...My bf and I dont want to be taking the pill for many personal reasons. Although we can use other types of birth control, it will be a conversation we need to revisit. He's completely open to the thought of another child, I'm just too selfish right now.

Hi there, not to worry you but I got pregnant on Plan B. It worked out for me b/c my bf at the time (not my husband) and I were already planning on getting married and now we can't imagine life without the little bundle of joy! But just be aware that Plan B has like an 80% efficacy rate (something I didn't know at the time!). Best of luck,

We had a condom break right when I was ovulating before I got my IUD put it. We were waiting for the IUD to get ordered, ugh. I took it and we did not get pregnant. Not quite the same since there was a small amount of spermicide from the condom, but I was definitely ovulating the next day or so.

Well the plan B works by not letting a fertilized egg implant, not to stop you from ovulating, so you feeling that shouldn't change. You won't know if it worked until you actually start, but I do think that the sooner you take it after having relations the higher the chance of it working, so sounds like you took it in time.

Pulling out is not an affective birth control method. There's enough leakage before ejaculation to cause a pregnancy.
Good luck!

Ok...as a Mom...you NEED to be on birthcontrol. WIthdrawl is NOT a successful or reliable means of birth control......just sayin'.... ;)
