Place to Worship That Meets Non Traditional Times
I live in the northwest metro and I am looking for a non traditional time of worship? I work on weekends overnight shift so Saturday evening and Sunday morning services do not work for my family. I grew up Lutheran and like the more contemporary services.
Anyone know of anything?

I used to work weekends, too, so I know what that is like. My brother currently works every Sunday (he is a paramedic) and he found a church in Rogers that has services every Monday evening. It is a larger church, ELCA I think, and very nice. I have attended service there with him - very friendly and lots of family activities, too. Sorry - I am not sure of the name. I know that I turn south after getting off the freeway, go through the downtown area, and the church is on the right.

My church, Eagle Brook Church, has a service at 4:00 on Saturdays, which I believe is quite a bit earlier than most. They have 3 campuses -- Spring Lake Park, Lino Lakes and White Bear Lake. It's not a Lutheran church though, but it is contemporary. Good luck!

There's somewhere in Hudson, WI that meets on Saturday mornings. They're not Lutheran though. They're Messianic believers, that is, some Jews and some non-Jews that believe in keeping the Sabbath (Friday sundown to Saturday sundown). I went there a few times when I lived in Maple Grove, but it is a haul. There's also a similar group in the Northwest metro, but I can't think of the name. Anyway, if you're really interested, here's a link to the place in Hudson. I'm sure if you emailed them they'd tell you of the place closer to you (which meets at the same time).
Peace.

Check out Church of the Open Door in Maple Grove, MN. Definitely non-traditional. Very contemporary.
