Hi All~ Has anyone ever dealt with a pimple on their face that just won't go away?? I have one spot on my cheek (the same exact spot, where I keep getting what seems to be a pimple. It gets red and raised and at some point I pinch it and a little something will come out. then it will go away for a couple days and then come back int he same spot. I've recently started taking new medication and my skin has been more prone to break outs, but this is not typical for me. I wash my face every night ( never sleep in make-up) and use a moisturizer, have a good diet etc... I'm in my early 40's.

Any insight?? Thanks ladies!

Take a bit of baking soda and add some water to make a paste out of it, and smear the paste on the pimple. Next, I recommend making a face mask out of egg whites with a few drops of olive oil and lemon juice and applying it all over. It will work wonders! :) good luck!

Go to the Doctor.
I may not be a "pimple."
Get it diagnosed.
Otherwise, whatever you put on it, may make it worse.

Or it can be something like "cellulitis."
A skin infection. Like a Staph infection.
I had that once. The Doc said DO NOT touch it or squeeze it or pop it. I had to take antibiotics, for it.

Have you tried a pot treatment on it? To dry it up completely?
Clean & Clear makes a pimple spot treatment. Where's this been all my life? I'm going to be 48 next month and I still get the occasional pimple!

idk if it's something major or just the occasional pimple we all get...but either way, the best thing i've ever used for my blemishes is Blemish Control Toner from Mary Kay. don't worry...i don't sell the stuff but i've used it for years. it clears/dries up my spots really quick. it has salicylic acid in it, which sucks it dry, lol. benzoyl peroxide just gives me flaky dry skin & still a blemish underneath! also...on my chin i've had reoccurring zits - OMG. it's to the point now (pre toner usage) that i have scars, literally scars, ahh!!! ticks me off. but anyway, clinique has something now to help w/scars & dark spots on your face so as soon as i get my blemishes cleared up THIS time, i wanna go buy that.
girl..i know how you feel w/these dang blemishes! good luck

I think I would get is checked if it keeps coming back in the same spot just to be on the safe side. My only advice is to get a good mask to draw it out. Squeezing them makes them worse it spreads it under the skin.

yes, please get to the dermatologist. i too had the pimple that wouldn't go away & indeed it turned out to be basal cell cancer. like kathy m. said, no big deal - if you get it taken care of now. i played with mine for two years before getting it checked, ended up still not a big deal health-wise, but i've got a scar to wear for my procrastination.

Assuming it's just a pimple and nothing more, Jafra makes a mask called "Malibu Miracle Mask" and it does work miracles. I have used it to spot treat pimples for over 30 years (just turned 60). It's made with a combination of ground almond meal, peppermint and other botanicals and works to draw excess sebum from under the skin. It will clear up a pimple in as little as 2 days and works every time. Email me directly for more information.

The "pimple" on my face that wouldn't go away was actually skin cancer. No need to freak out - just go to a dermatologist and have it biopsied. If it is a basal cell carcinoma, they just remove it and that's that. Go get it checked out quickly. And remember, it could be nothing!

My DH had something simular on his neck and it ended up being MRSA. You should probably get it checked out. BTW DH is a nurse and even he didn't realize what it was even though he deals with patients and infections all the time.

I would definitely get it checked by a dermatologist before trying any OTC remedies. As the others below have said - it could be skin cancer or something else. Good luck to you!

I hope it's just a pimple, but I want to also advise getting it checked out by a doctor. My husband had that on his forehead & it was indeed skin cancer. On the surface it was the size of a pimple but under the skin it had spread to about 2 inches long. It was about 8 months before he actually got it diagnosed since he too thought it was a just a reoccurring pimple that kept popping.
