Hi,

my toddler takes music classes at the Chicago Park District and the instructor also teaches piano. He is located somewhere on the northwest side (he teaches music classes at the Norwood Park Fieldhouse, not sure if he also teaches out of another location/home). His business card lists him as:

"Mr. Mike" Piper
Keyboardist/Instructor/Consultant
email: ____@____.com

He is great with kids, my son loves him!

We don't take piano yet, but plan to at We Are Music. Two of my kids already are taking guitar there. I plan on signing up my daughter for piano there after the guitar. They charge $12.00 a 1/2 hr. They are on Irving just west of Central. Right across the street from the DQ and McDonalds. They are great there. Good luck

Dear A.,
I have a voice teacher who also teaches piano. She does travel to her students; you would need to ask her about this, however. She has worked with children for a long time. We have worked together for probably 4 years now. Megan Frei can be reached at ###-###-#### cell or email at
____@____.com
Good luck and if you call or write her, please let her know I recommended you.
S.

I'm a piano teacher and I live in Jeff Park, but at the moment can't take any students because I just had my second baby and my studio is filled. However, I can recommend two wonderful Ukrainian friends - both in their 30's, masters degree in piano performance from DePaul U, both experienced and have worked with children for years. They charge more than what people have mentioned here, about $30 for a half hour lesson, but they are professionals and you would get the best instruction. Send me a message if you are interested.
