Can anyone suggest a place to photograph children indoors? Not a company, but a place that I could take pictures of my little one...with great backgrounds and neutral walls, or brick walls, etc.

What can I do next?

Bass Pro Shops in Great Lakes Crossing has a water wheel and little river. THere is also an area when you enter from the outside (not the mall entrance)that is pretty. It seems like some places are set up for photo oportunities. I know that Cabellas in Dundee has photo spots, too.

The butterfly house at the Detroit Zoo would be cool. It's open year-round, but you'd have the place to yourself in the winter. The botanical gardens in Ann Arbor might be good, too, or the law quad at U of M but you'd have to wait for warmer weather for that one.

KH,

When I take pictures of my children I throw upa solid colored sheet and use the fitted one for the floor so everything blends together well. Sometimes simplicity is the best way to go.

Sorry but I'm new to the area and can't think of an indoor photo spot.

Good luck and hang in there!

What about the DIA? They have lots of different facades, not to mention, lots of art and sculpture. I think there might even be a fountain near the cafe. They do allow photography, however, no flashes. Just check their website for photography guidelines. Hope that helps! Good luck!

Don't know where you live. Some schools have backgrounds that would be suitable - or other public buildings. If you're on the eastside, the Grosse Pointe War Memorial is usually open and you don't have to pay to go in. Some churches and libraries have places that would work too.
