You may want to try Portrait Innovations. It's off Highway 26 (Grapevine Hwy) in Colleyville (in the shopping center with Market Street).

I have never had a good experience at a "sit down" portrait studio. My son is way too busy for that! They were great with the kids (I had my nephew as well....two 2 yr olds). They take digital pictures and are VERY fast - you pick out your poses while you're there and generally, pictures are ready within 20 minutes. They are EXTREMELY reasonable and often have specials. We found a wonderful place in Colleyville that was recommended by another mom called Portrait Innovations. All our pictures came out perfect. They allowed us to change outfits as many times as we wanted, were very patient if our little one needed a bottle break and very accommodating. They have a hand held camera that they used to chase our son around with. We got some great shots that really captured his personality. I am sure it is more costly then JC Penny, but our pictures look like they came from a magazine and are very well worth it. We decided to not get professional pictures every few months but just at 6months and then every 6mo to a year. This way we could get quality over quantity, and I don't have the time or energy to switch out pictures that quickly.

You've got to check out Angela Majerus photography here in Keller. She is amazing! In fact, she is on the local business review of this website and you will see 5 stars across the board. She is probably more costly than JC Penney for certain but totally worth it. She captured my 3 year old like no one else, his personality and all. I think you would be so happy with the results. A good friend of mine does professional photography. Her name is Amy Gillis and her email is ____@____.com is just getting her business going, and is well priced. She has been taking professional style photos for years and her pictures are beautiful.

She also has her own little one, so she is used to working with kids.
