Okay I have a personal and kind of embarrasing ? I'm 31 weeks pregnant and when I was in the shower washing up I noticed that my vigina was swollen around the opening and hard. Is this normal?

What can I do next?

Oh yes it is normal the pressure of baby causes things down there to swell the veins become bigger may become noticeable like varicose veins. It may cause discomfort that to me was a sign of doing to much up on my feet to long, lay down take a rest.Relax your almost done.

Is there any pain? If no pain, and you didn't mention, then yes, it's normal but is often a sign of being up on your feet too much and your swelling.

So try and lay down on you left side, top knee pulled up on a pillow. This should help reduce the swelling.

And ditto - you're little one is almost here :) Congrats!

yeah normal. I am only 25 weeks and mine is swollen already and very tender to the touch. Like if the water from the shower hits it in just the right spot it hurts....like it's bruised. But remember this happening with my other 2 pregnancies also. It will return to normal after the baby is born, not to worry.

It may not look normal but it is :) It's just the pressure from the baby, I had the same problem. Are you on your feet alot? Don't worry you don't have too much longer to go....

That's very normal. It's due to the increase in the vascular system. If it hurts, mention it to your dr/midwife, as it could be varicose veins. Yeah, you can get them there too. HTH
