Hi, does anyone have a recommendation for a pediatrician affiliated with Children's Memorial Hospital in the southwest or west suburbs or that is affiliated with Loyola?
All feedback good or bad is appreciated.
Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your helpful responses. It is always good to hear directly from parents what their experiences have been. I'll be checking out various practices and take it from there.
Thanks!

We go to the Loyola Primary Care Center in Darien (near 75th street and Lemont). My daughter has seen Dr. Pangan and Dr. Burkhe (she is our primary) and we have been very happy with both. My Dr. is there too (Dr. Veselik). He is great and also sees pediatric patients. The number there is ###-###-####.

Good luck finding someone that is a good fit for your family. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.

We use Loyola Family Health Center in North Riverside on Harlem Ave, Rebecca Barbato is our ped., but the whole peds team is good (have seen them all in a pinch), plus the nurses there are excellent.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Michelle Toma at Loyola's Oakbrook Terrace location since she was born. She's now 6 1/2. A couple of times, she's seen Dr. Linda Tayeh when it's been an "I need to get in there today" situation & they are both great! They're both Intermal Med physicians - both very personable, approachable, great when you have questions, etc. They're located on 22nd in Oakbrook Terrace - just east of the Yorktown Mall - ###-###-####. Dr. Toma used to see adult patients as well but has limited herself to peds since last year (I used to be able to set up our appointments together so my daughter & I would see her at the same time). I now see Dr. Tayeh but have kept my daughter w/ Dr. Toma since she's been her doc for so long. Good luck!!

Hi,
We love, love, love our pediatricans that are affiliated with Loyola. The office we go to is located in Wheaton right by Danada Square shopping center - Loyola Primary Care Center at Wheaton. There are only 3 doctors in the practice and no matter if you are sick or well, you will normally see your doctor. Dr. Cahill is our favorite but Dr. Gill is very nice too. Both have had children born in the last year so they are very in tune with the worries of parents of little ones. To make an appointment - ###-###-####. The only thing that is we don't like about Loyola is their billing - they are very impatient and quick to send to collections.
Good Luck!
~K.

Hi there, I have been in the same situation recently, I, like you favor those two hospitals, unfortunately my 4yr old has spent time in both & they are both excellent hospitals though I do prefer Childrens. I use to live in the northside of Chicago & found a great practice affiliated with Childrens which I highly recommend they the only issue is that they are on Clybourn near Armitage ave in the city I kept taking my kids there for 3yrs after we moved to the West-Subs I had been at different places & that one is by far the best. Unfortunately when my husband moved to a different Co. they no longer accepted our new insurance:( Anyhow they are Town & Country Pediatrics ###-###-####.
Now with Cigna we go to Loyola University Health Center ###-###-#### (a building in the same premises as the Hospital) I like everything so far my only issue is they sometimes make you wait a little longer vs no wait at Town & Country plus they don't offer late appt. like at 8pm like the other place...oh yeah & they're closed on Sundays Town & Country is open 7 days a week I guess maybe I was a little spoiled over there. But other than that the place is great, especially the docs.
Ok well, I didn't mean to write this much hope it helps, Good Luck! And if you find a better spot let me know!-M.
