Peditrician in Plano

We have recently moved to Plano and I would really like to get a new peditrician for my kids. We really liked the one we had in Flower Mound, but if I have a sick child I would like to be closer to the doctor.

I have a daughter (5) who has some delays and I would really like someone who knows something about that. Also, I would prefer someone who is more proactive than passive in dealing with problems. (but not an alarmist)

Also, I HATE having to wait for hours in a waiting room.

I like being able to get in easily with a sick child.

The front office staff needs to be helpful/courteous and concerned.

Lastly, I really prefer an easy access office that is CLEAN.

Maybe I am being too picky. If I could find someone that met all of my requests, I would be there for life.

Does anyone have any advice on either who to go to or who to steer away from?

What can I do next?

Hi Ashley
I take my two daughters to Dr. Phyllis Stone at Presby Hospital in Plano. Clean office and the staff is fantastic. I don't know if they are taking new patients, however, she has 4 other doctors at the practice and are all good. Number is ###-###-####
Good Luck!

My pedatrician is in Frisco -- but I really like them. Centennial Pediatrics at 121 and Coit. I never had to wait more than 10 min. and the rooms and wait area are clean. They alo have "sick and well" child visit times. They have a separate waiting area for sick kids as well -- or well kids if you are concerned about your kids either spreading or getting germs.

The doc I use in the practice is Newton -- but the other ones are good too.

I have known the Dr's here since my first son was born and this practice meets all of the criteria of your request. I am very picky about Dr's too and I love this one. The nurses and the staff are also great! They know us by name!
Good luck!

Ashley, I take my baby to Pediatric Specialists of Plano. their on-call service does not cost extra to call and we've seen all their doctors by now. Last time I checked, they weren't taking new patients except by referral. Say you're a friend of mine and were referred by me. Our Dr. is Dr. Berkowitz. He's an absolute doll. We love him.

They are right across from Presby in Plano. Midway and Parker.

I like the off of North Dallas Pedatric Assoc. We go to Dr. deVillenuve, but have seen several of the other doctors there and also nurse practioners. Dr. D has a tough love approach, if that is your style. Great nurse line (always callas back) and they usually have sick appointments when you call first thing in the AM.
3801 W 15th St, Plano, TX 75075 ###-###-####). I think they have a web site. They give the address out on their phone line.
