I searching for a new doctor for my daughters. I'd prefer a Pediatrician. Who do you recommend and why? I live in Wyoming and I'm associated with Metro Health. Thank you.

What can I do next?

I highly recommend Kent Pediatrics on West River Dr. They are by Fifth Third Ballpark - next door to Grand Rapids Popcorn Company. I am pretty sure that they will affiliate with Metro Health, but you would have to call be sure ###-###-####). It's a little bit of a drive for you, but they're right off of the expressway. I've seen all of the doctors in the office and LOVE every single one of them. I also think that all of the nurses are SUPERB! I've had to call a few times after hours with emergencies and they have been very calm and informative. They've also called the next day to see how my little boy was doing. I have been very impressed! I can honestly say that I don't have a single bad thing to say about them and I've been going there for over three years! If you have any specific ?'s, feel free to PM me.

Someone suggested to me to try Forest Hills Pediatrics. I have been going there now almost 2 years and I love it:) They have hours in the morings when you can just walk in without an appointment and be seen. They also try really hard to get you in the same day. It's really wonderful. They will also give you a book that they made about alomst any illness you can think of. It tells you what the illness is how and if it can be treated. It's great because you can refer to it whenever the office is closed or if your not sure if you should call. You can set up a time to go in and meet the staff and check out the office before you decide if you want to go there or not. The number to the office is ###-###-####. the also have a website you can check out it's www.foresthillspediatrics.com. I hope this helps!

our pediatrician is not associated with Metro (my hubby and I go to Metro & their docs) but I highly recommend Grandville Pediatrics. The two doctor are experienced, thoughtful and knowledgable. They always give me the time I need and don't make me feel like i'm taking too much time. They answer questions thoroughly; make and follow actions plans in a timely mannor and don't "over-refer". they are associated with a clinic that has night and weekend appointments and every contact with their office has been professional, timely, and a positive experience for my family.

Take a look at Alger Pediatrics on Alger Street. They have several great Pediatricians to choose from. I take my boys to see Dr Doug Daining and have several friends that see some of the other doctors there.

I use Michigan Medical P. C. Pediatrics (MMPC). I see Dr McMahon and so do 3 of my friends with kids and we all love him but I also have seen other doc's in the office and they all are nice. They were in Wyoming but they just moved to Kalamazoo Ave off of M6. They are open 7 days a week!!!! In the morning on the weekends for emergencies. The doc's rotate who works it, but at least their is someone available that has your childs chart and their history in front of them so you don't have to go to a med center. Good luck.

My son has gone to the Metro Health Pediatrics office on 44th between Burlingame and Bryon Center since he was born. His primary doctor is Dr Salhadar, but we have seen on the pediatricians and physican assistants in the office. I have been happy with all of them. It can be a busy office but they are usually very good about getting you in and the wait times aren't horrible. The staff is friendly and are good with the kids. I have really enjoyed Dr Oberlin, who is a newer Dr there, the couple of times we have seen her. She really takes the time with you and listens. I am a nurse so sometimes I think I can be a little critical on over health professionals, but I've been happy with the care my son has received.
