Pediatrician in Santa Monica?

Does anyone have a Pediatrician in or close to Santa Monica who is open to parents who wish to postpone and spread out vaccines? And who is contracted with Aetna? I thought our pediatrician was open to this but after our 2 month check-up today he tried to make us feel like we were risking the health of our baby. I'm happy it didn't work but now I know I need to find a new DOC.
thanks

Hi Nancy,
My pediatrician is in Culver City. Her name is Nancy Blumstein. She is open to your own schedule and is an excellent resource for books, etc. She also includes homeopathy in her practice but she's very safe with acute conditions and will use alopathic means when necessary.
Her # is: ###-###-####
She's busy, but she tries to give needed attention to each patient. She gives group interview on Tuesdays. We have Aetna. She takes it.
Good luck,
R.

Dr. Lauren Feder is a homeopathic/MD and Dr. Jay Gordon. You can check out his website. I think he even wrote a book about this very thing.

Hi, S..

If you're willing to drive into Beverly Hills and are willing to call the office to see if they take Aetna, my daughter's pediatrician, Dr. Guy Efron, is completely open to delaying as well as spreading out vaccines. He's always been open to what makes me feel most comfortable.

Here's his office address and phone number:

Dr. Guy Efron
150 N. Robertson Blvd. Ste. 307
Beverly Hills, CA 90211
###-###-####

He's great and accessible. Anytime I've had any question about anything and it wasn't necessarily something I needed to rush her into the office for, I have been able to call the office and he's called me back to let me know what I should look out for and what is completely normal.

Hope you can find a doctor that suits you!

Congratulations on your new baby!

E.

Dr. Jay Gordon. He won't push Vaccines at all and in fact recommends you be informed and make decisions for your self and the health of your family. He has even given lectures on the risks of vaccinating and the benefits (he feels the risks sometimes outweigh the benefits, depending on your circumstances).

The only real problem: insurance. He doesn't take it. He also will sit with you and your children for a half hour to an hour, which is why he doesn't take insurance. If you have a PPO, you can bill them back.

His information is Dr. Jay Gordon:
###-###-####
901 Montana Ave. #C, Santa Monica, CA

Good luck!

Hi S.. We have been using Dr. Jay Gordon since our 20 month old was born. He is in SM and a huge leader in the vaccine research/postponement world. He doesn't accept insurance, however. We pay up front and get reimbursed through Blue Cross (I think we get 80% or more back). He also has a dvd out about vaccines if you want to check out how he feels. Just google him and you can find the dvd.
