Hi Moms,

I'm looking for a pediatrician who is great for a child with ADHD and other learning challenges. He/she should be experienced with this and be located in or around Plano.

Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

I also have a child with ADHD and some possible learning delays. Our pediatrician is Dr. Daniel Ramirez with Kids Doc Pediatrics and he's located in the medical bldgs at Plano Presby. He is a developmental pediatrician and has many ADHD patients. He has been our pediatrician for both my boys even before the younger one was diagnosed with ADHD so it was a real bonus that he is very well experienced in ADHD as well. I would highly recommend him. We've been very happy.

I agree 100% with Kelley K. Dr Bain is AWESOME! My youngest is on the Autism Spectrum and we've been going to her for a year and have no complaints.

Hope this helps.

You may to consider a psychiatrist. While peds can treat this, psychs usually have a better understanding of the symptoms, effects and proper medications. I know there are 2 child psychs in McKinney near 75 and viriginia parkway. Dr Moolamala and Dr Burgos. Both offices have multiple drs/pas to help!

Hi M.,

I would look into ADD Health and Wellness Centers. They have an extensive list of resources for you. If your child begins having trouble in school, please visit www.greatlakesacademy.com. It's a private school for kids with ADHD and other learning differences that offers social skills along with TEKS curriculum. There are no more than ten kids in a classroom and have a great knowledgeable faculty and staff. You can also give them a call at ###-###-#### ext. 103 to set up a tour.
