I've used Dermatology Consultants of Westchester in Scarsdale and was very, very happy. Dr. Julie Cantatore-Francis specializes in pediatrics and she is amazing with the kids. Their # is ###-###-####.

I recently brought my son to Dr Antaya, pediatric derm @ Yale New Haven and was very pleased. The appt took some time to get (2 or 3 months), but my son's case was not urgent, per se. The Dr's demeanor was great, for both my very shy son and for me. His prescribed treatment seems to be working, and I can follow up with him or w/ my local derm as I choose.

I think there are only 2 ped derms in CT, the other being @ UCONN in Storrs.

Good luck, I hope this helps!

Both my daughters (3 yrs old and 5 months old) saw dr morel at columbia presbyterian. it takes a couple of months to get an appt unless it is urgent then your pediatrician can call or email. my daughter (5 month old) had horrible ezcema and was getting skin infections constantly bc of it... she was able to see her the same week that the ped emailed. my other daughter also saw her as a baby she had something called hemangiomas. dr morel is very thorough and great with babies. any of the ped derms at columbia are supposed to be good but i think dr morel is supposed to be one of the best... the ped specifically wanted my youngest to see her bc of that. good luck

Hi S.,

When my son was an infant he saw a pediatric dermatologist at New York Hospital (Cornell... 68th & York in NYC). He was in the building across the street from the hospital in a big dermatology clinic. He was excellent. Dr. James Leach ###-###-####. You can find him and other ped. derms at www.nyp.org under the "find a physician" tab.

Take care,
S.
