Pediatric Dentist on the NE Side of SA.

I'd like to take my two-year-old daughter to see a good pediatric dentist that accepts military insurance. Our family dentist doesn't see children this young. We are fairly new to this area (arrived almost a year ago). Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

What can I do next?

Dr. Rebecca Wilson at Alamo Heights Pediatric Dentistry is incredible. My daughter usually throws a fit when the appointment is over and it's time to leave! She is in the Lincoln Heights Shopping Center at Broadway & Basse Rd.

Dr. Willie Cant with Smile Solutions is the best Pediatric Dentist around....He actually does kids and adults.

We go to Kids Dental on I35 in Schertz. Its across the highway from HEB next to Little Spurs. They take United Concordia. They have been good to my 2 1/2 year old. Hope this helps. ~M.

Ditto about Dr. Doose. He's great! My kids (especially) love him.

I also take my kids to Dr. Velez at Kids Dental in Schertz...He is awesome with the kids and very compassionate. The office and staff are extremely kid friendly.

We also use Stone Oak Pediatrics. We LOVE Dr. Liz!

Not sure if he takes military insurance but try Dr. James M. Doose. He is located in the Thousand Oaks and Henderson Pass area. Thousand Oaks Children Dentistry, phone# ###-###-####.

Hi J.:
I'm a dentist (orthodontist). Everybody has recommended good people. I'll recommend you to take your daughter to a pedodontist (general dentist that has a specialty in children). From the replies that you got, the following are pedodontist (that I know of): Dr Wilson, Dr Doose, Stone Oak Pediatric Dentist, Dr Banker, Dr Whitten, Dr James. And I will add Dr Billick (Little Teeth of Texas ###-###-####) she is on Hardy Oaks. So you could base your decision on location & on whom takes your insurance. Good luck.

It may not be exactly convenient, depending on where you live, but Stone Oak Pediatric Dentistry is excellent. Not sure about what insurance they take. www.sopdtx.com
