Hi, I just took my 2 and 4 year old boys to Dr. Terry Scott in Mc Kinney off of Eldorado, just west of Ridge Rd. This was their first trip to a dentist and both were a little nervous. But everyone was friendly at the office and the kids did so well- we will definitely go back.

I work for an Orthodontist here in Mckinney, Personally my children go to Dr. Lisi, we love her, she and her entire staff are wonderful with kids, If you want someone closer Dr. Tim Brister is on Custer he is great, as well as Dr. Terry Scott (he is on Eldorado close to Custer. One of the key things to look for no matter where you choose is, if you can go back with your child for the appointment, if you are not able to then you are at the wrong dental office! Good Luck!

We also have been to Dr. Tim B. and thought he was great.

Dr. Tammy Gough in Allen. Her office in on Alma just north on McDermott. The office is very kid friendly...games, videos, music, so forth. You can stay with your children during the whole process or they can go back on their own they. Both of my children are very shy and they have no problems with visiting the dentist. She was named the DFW area dentist of the year in 2006 maybe 2005 by D Magazine.

We use Dr. Tammy Gough's office (recommended here on Mamasource) and have been very pleased. We've been going there for a year. We've actually only seen her partner, but it's a very friendly office.

He is fantastic with kids. Great staff. Makes kids and parents feel great. He does NO insurance. You pay upfront and you file your insurance. This is not a big deal for me because he is so good. I have taken my daughter (13 on 12/27)to him since she was 3. I just file the insurance myself and I have always recieved most of it back (within $5 or so)

Another vote for Tipton Asher. My girls love to get there early and play. He also did a consultation with the parent while the child is picking out their prize.

I would highly recommend Caleen Cantrell at Childsmile Pediatric Dentistry. She and her staff are delightful and really good at making the dental experience (especially for first-timers) comfortable. Here is her contact info:
