Nannies make between $10-15+ hour based primarily on their experience. If you add housekeeping, you should pay at least $15/hr. but maybe more. This assumes the nanny/housekeeper is legal to work in the U.S. If you find someone on your own, I recommend doing a background check. Hello, I'm C., and I was a nanny for about 5 years for four children between the ages of 3 months and 3 years old. When I was a nanny, I started out at $400 a week, by the time I was done working for the family, I was making $400 per week for 3 weeks out of the month and $750 for one of the weeks for the month. It was a great job, and I still keep in touch with the children. I'm not sure if you are looking for someone right now, but if you are, I recently got laid off, and looking for work. 250-650 with an avg of 450 a week is what I have seen - prices increase based on how fluency, whether they drive and experience.
