Party Place for 40Th Birthday in Dallas

I am looking for a place to host a 40th birthday party for a wonderful Daddy who is turning 40. It would need to big enough to accomodate 20 people and be child friendly. I would rather not have it at a restaurant, but that could be an option. I would love to have any suggestions for places in the Dallas area.

Try Ozona on Greenville Ave, just north of Mockingbird. Great food, a large space inside and a large shady outdoor area as well.

Check out the Pocket Sandwich Theater on Mockingbird. It is a fun place to go for birthdays and you get to throw popcorn!

T.,
I don't know whether you are needed something a bit elegant, or just a big enough room. If it is all about Space then your Rec Center probably will run a nice size room really cheap. Another fun thing, especially if you are talking about young families, is at the local pool, or even rent out the local Laser Tag. They gave us a great price on a Sunday morning. We had a blast, adults and kids!
Good Luck.

The Balch Springs Civic Center is a wonderful building. Very family friendly and casual. Easy to get to right off 635. It has a warming kitchen, so you can do your own food, ot the Chineese place (Pine Tree) is wonderful and caters all the events I hold there. Very friendly menu. Not just chinese food. Have Fun!

If you'd like to be outside, my sister-in-law rented a party boat on Grapevine Lake (I think you can go to Lewisville Lake also). WE did the Club Fred which accomodated up to 50...you can bring your own food and drinks, there's a slide on the boat that goes into the water...That was lots of fun! The Tipperary Inn is a lot of fun. It is a restaurant but they play live Irish music. It is kid friendly too. We take our kids there often, along with others, and the little ones get up and dance to the Celtic music.

The owner, Tim, is also VERY receptive to parties and easy to work with. He'll let you pull tables together, reserve an area right in the middle of the room in front of the band - anything you want to do!

Another option - go bowling. Jupter Lanes is a "classic" old-time bowling alley that has just been redone, but lots of bowling alleys have birthday packages too. Jupiter also has the ability to raise the guards when it is a kid's turn so they can't roll a gutter ball.

You can google both place to find their websites.

Good luck!

Mattitto's (Tex-Mex restaurant) has a nice detached building that they rent out for parties. I threw my husband's 30th b-day party there several years ago.

I threw my husband a surprise party at our local bowling alley. Everyone had fun
