My daughters kid party is this weekend, I rented out a room at our rec center since it is freezing this fall and my home is not big enough for all the kids. I plan to get mini pumpkins and let them decorate them with eyes and all that good stuff, since they love that stuff, what other fun and unique things can I do on a limited budget. It is only a 2 hour party, so I dont want to over do it, but I also need to make sure we have enough to keep busy hands busy!
Thanks in advance for suggestions!

Pin the mouth on the pumpkin: Cut out a large orange poster board pumpkin, glue black eyes and nose on that you have cut out from construction paper. Cut out a mouth from black construstion paper (do not glue on). The day of the party tape the pumpkin to the wall and just use scotch tape on the backside of the mouth for kids to try and put on in the right spot while blind folded. Be sure to bring extra tape, the tape will work for 2-3 kids before you need a new piece.

Pinata: to stay with the fall/halloween theme put spider rings, small halloween eraser, halloween stickers and candy in it.

I hope you have a great party!

Hi,
Sounds like it will be a fun party! Pumpkins are a great idea. You cal also do a play on the bobbing for apples game and put an apple on a string (of course one for each child) and have them eat it without their hands. You can also make a treasure map and hide the candy and have all of the kids guess the clues. You can make spider webs with string...
Good luck!

you could get/or bake plain sugar cookies and let them decorate those too. Or some larger size beads and let them make some necklaces.
