I am looking for part time work. I want to be able to take my daughter to school and pick her up from school so I am thinking 10-2ish. I know you are not in my specific area and can't suggest certain establishments, but thought some of you might share what you moma's do? The things in my area are...bank, Walmart, grocery store, area agency- is there any stay at home jobs out there.

I work at a grocery store, in the bakery. I work VERY PT but when I do I have the following hours: M-F 4am-8am and then any shift needed on weekends, usually 5a-12:30p. It allows me to get home and get my oldest off to K before DH leaves for work. There are several departments within a grocery store and some might be able to work w/your scheduling needs...it is a 4hr shift you are asking for, and I believe that to be the minimum required, that you work.

Good Luck!

If you want an at home job check out the forum at workplacelikehome. They have a bunch of lists for things you can do a home.
I have a few things on my website makemoneyonline.tonoftips.net to earn cash at home.

KGB.com and chacha.com are legitimate at home work, and you can set your own hours.
If you like to write check out Associated Content, Text Broker, Demand Studios, or WordGigs.

There are lots of things you can do if you find the right niche. Personally, I'd steer away from MLM's because you end up making investments, recruiting others to join your cause and sometimes have inventory all of which cost YOU money in the long run. Granted....not all MLM's are bad....just be cautious.

I answered a post similar to this yesterday. I volunteered so much at my daughter's elemmentary school the teachers and principal asked me to sub. So I signed up with our ISD and began substitute teaching at this school only. My jobs are mostly preplanned so not many early morning or late night calls. I could be at the school daily if I wanted to work that much but I can't put more than a day or 2 into it because our company is our priority.

Multiple income streams coming into the family household are wonderful!!

Also, look at Mother's Day Out places. Many of those are have hours that are great for moms with school children. Other options are the grocers, retail, etc.

I hope you find what you are looking for !!

I've been working from home for several years now and recently launched a website, texasworkfromhomemoms.com I have a database comprised of hundreds of companies that hire people nationwide to work from home. You don't have to be in TX to sign up and there aren't any MLM companies listed. There are alot of telecommute, freelance, etc. Check it out if you have a chance, I would love to know what you think!

Okay alot of time you can apply and tell them that you need mothers hours, like the mall the grocery store places like that and also you can sometimes see what the bank offers and then the next thing I can say is that if you are creative you can start your own business that allowas you to set your own hours.

Try looking at getting a job at your daughter's school. Often, the schools don't publicize it... so try asking the office.
Then that way, you will have the same schedule as your daughter, possibly... that is what many Moms do, or try to do.
But, realizing it won't be all white-collar high level jobs... just helping type things. But part time.

good luck,
Susan
