Painting Pumpkins
What type of paint do you use to paint pumpkins? I do not want to buy a "kit" and we have acrylic paints the girls use on paper. Will they work?
Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated!

Acrylic paints will work best- they won't chip off and will stay put better when they're dry than tempera. Since the pumpkin's surface is so slick, you may want to try mixing in a bit of dish soap to get the paint to go on more even.
