Pain down There - Melrose Park,IL

After loosing my babies 2 months later I was told I had Group B Strep, my doc treated me with antibiotics, now I have these mini pains down there & my doctor thought it was mini contractions that some woman have. I don't get them all the time but when I do I get them a bunch in one day. Anyhow has anyone ever had weird pains down there 2 months after a delivery or could something else be wrong? I am on day 28 of my cycle and hope I DON'T get a period but am nervous if I am pregnant could something be wrong AGAIN.

I am so sorry for your loss. My sister in law had the same thing happen about 20 years ago. My niece was delivered vaginally at about 22 weeks. Unfortunately she only lived about 6 hours. My sister in law also had strep B and IC. On a bright note with Antibiotics, bed rest and a cerclage she was able to have my beautiful nieces who are 18 and 16. Good luck!

Hi C. - Sorry to hear about your loss, I can't even imagine. You are a strong woman!
I would say if you are concerned about this continue to ask your doctor about it.
I also had Strep B but was diagnosed during pregnancy so I don't know if the pain is associated with the virus or not. I had pain and discomfort in my pubic bone and in that general area for a while but they didn't feel like contractions. My Midwife said that it can take sometimes 4 months for the bones and muscles to go back and actually it took 6 months for the pain to go away. It may just be your body taking its time to heal. It sounds as though you have been through a lot and we all heal differently. It took my body longer than I thought it would to heal. If you are concerned you have to go with your gut. I hope for you all the best.
I hope this is helpful.

Hi C.,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your twins. I can only imagine how you feel. Good for you for hanging in there!
I had a very strange pain for months after my delivery, it would hit usually in the early hours of the morning after I had been lying down for a while. My doctor told me it was from the separation of the pubic bones that happened during birth, and that it would go away when the bones fused together again completely. It did go away, but it took a really long time, I think at least 7 months. I don't know if this sounds like the kind of pain you are having--if yours feels like it might be in your bones? but just thought I'd give that as a possibility. Best of luck to you, my thoughts are with you.

Hi C., so sorry you had to go thru that....i also had a miscarriage at 16 weeks and had to deliver and get a dnc. i feel for anyone who has to go thru something so tragic. i also know the feeling it leaves you with after, your scared about your next pregnancies and get over worried and stressed. I had some muscle pains in the groin area after the miscarriage that my doctor chalked up to just muscle contractions. but if you trust your doctor, i would just go in and tell them your concerns. If your doctor has any type of heart at all he/she will understand your worries and hopefully everything will be okay.

I just want to tell you that I am so sorry for the loss of your twins! I wish you the best of luck with healing, physically as well as mentally. Take care of yourself!!!!

My first thought before reading your bio was IC. It can cause the pain you are talking about. I may have it and when they were educating me about it they checked me for different areas of pain. Consider visiting a urologist of you don't have one. Hope this helps some. Sorry for your incredible loss.
