If you want to give them to someone who needs then try frecycle.com , the people will come and pick it up so you don't have to.

There is a Hispanic Minister at my church to whom we have been giving our outgrown toddlers clothes. He Pastors a couple of small churches in Mexico. He and his wife distributes all the clothes (all sizes) to people in need.

I usually give some to my friends or family and the rest I give to the goodwill for a tax write off. It all adds up!!

You can do what I do, and sell them on Ebay! You'll make a nice profit and that can go towards new clothes, diapers or toys for your toddler.

Drop off your gently used items (clothes, bjorns, strollers, linens, etc), earn 65-70% of what sells. You set the price. You don't need to be present during the sale. It is AWESOME. I've earned mega-bucks ($300+) when I thought I had nothing to sell. I've also bought things I've really needed for MUCH less than full price. I use the earnings to buy my kids new toys/clothes. The organizers of the sale give you the option of donating your unsold items to a few local charities after the ~3 day sale ends.

someone suggested Children's Orchard in Manhattan Beach & there is also Kids Double Time in Redondo Beach. The also buy back clothes, toys, etc. It's great because you can sell them there & buy new stuff from their store to fit your child's size now.

are you planning on having more children? we knew were were and saved them. I have 3 girls. Thank goodness I didn't give it all away.

Some of my daughter's pants, I cut off the bottoms for capris...then on to shorts. Otherwise, I donate them to our church, Goodwill or www.freecycle.org - Sometimes I send an email to my local friends and ask who wants them. Or, if it's garage sale time, I sell them and make a few bucks!

There is a wonderful non-profit organization called St. Anne's that helps teens and young women right here in LA. In their words, "St. Anne’s serves some of the most abused, abandoned, neglected and otherwise challenged young women and children in Los Angeles County." "St. Anne’s has evolved into one of the most highly regarded social service agencies committed to developing and sustaining programs that address the special needs of at-risk, pregnant and/or parenting young women and children." When I was there donating baby and infant items (clothing, books, blankets, diaper bags, toys, etc.), I asked them what they were in need of most. They told me that children's clothing of all ages up to to teenage. Your items will either be given directly to a mom or family in their care, or sold in their thrift shop to raise money. It is a very worthy cause, and the women that work there are very kind and grateful. Plus, it is tax deductable. You can see their website and get directions at http://www.stannes.org/. Otherwise, you can donate them to a women's shelter - we send ours to a sober living home for women with children.
