Outgrown Clothes

What do local moms do with outgrown clothes from their toddlers? The clothes are in good shape and I often give them away to my friends for their children, but sometimes I don't know what to do with them. Any suggestions?

I received so many wonderful suggestions-from places I could donate my kids clothes to help single teen moms to consignment places near by. Thanks for all your advice. I will probably donate most of them and try to sell some of them at a consignment sale I learned about through someone's response.

If you want to give them to someone who needs then try frecycle.com , the people will come and pick it up so you don't have to.

I give them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army when I have extra clothes.

There is a Hispanic Minister at my church to whom we have been giving our outgrown toddlers clothes. He Pastors a couple of small churches in Mexico. He and his wife distributes all the clothes (all sizes) to people in need.

Hi,
I usually give some to my friends or family and the rest I give to the goodwill for a tax write off. It all adds up!!

You can do what I do, and sell them on Ebay! You'll make a nice profit and that can go towards new clothes, diapers or toys for your toddler.

Drop off your gently used items (clothes, bjorns, strollers, linens, etc), earn 65-70% of what sells. You set the price. You don't need to be present during the sale. It is AWESOME. I've earned mega-bucks ($300+) when I thought I had nothing to sell. I've also bought things I've really needed for MUCH less than full price. I use the earnings to buy my kids new toys/clothes. The organizers of the sale give you the option of donating your unsold items to a few local charities after the ~3 day sale ends.

someone suggested Children's Orchard in Manhattan Beach & there is also Kids Double Time in Redondo Beach. The also buy back clothes, toys, etc. It's great because you can sell them there & buy new stuff from their store to fit your child's size now.

have you checked out children's orchard? it's designed for especially this. they will give you cash back for your clothes. you can also buy used clothes from them too.

go to childorch.com

are you planning on having more children? we knew were were and saved them. I have 3 girls. Thank goodness I didn't give it all away.
