Outgrown Clothes - Katy, TX

I am new to the Katy area and I am looking for a place to take the clothes that my daughter has outgrown to sell them. I am a stay at home mom and my income level is next to nothing. I would normally donate them but money is tight for me right now and I could use anything that I could get. Any suggestions other than Craig's list would be greatly appreciated! I am a first time mom so I aways have questions! Thanks in advance for any help!

What can I do next?

Hi, it might be a little far for you to drive but Kid 2 Kid is a great resale, consignment shop in the Woodlands. They give you cash on the spot or in store credit and if you go that way you get 20% more. They take any items like toys, strollers, highchairs, pack n plays, babybeds ect. They have a website kid2kid.com They are very upscale, organized and clean. They also have maternity items. If you have any questions email me ____@____.com

Try a site called GumdropSwap (http://gumdropswap.com). You can swap from anywhere in the US by sending the clothes your kids outgrow to this kids boutique in CT. As long your things are in good condition they don't turn down anything because of brand, size or season. They take everything unlike resale store like Once Upon a Child! They give you points to shop on the website and send the clothes that fit your kids. It's great if you don't have time, patience or know how to do consignment, Ebay, craigslist etc.

You might want to try e-bay. If you try and sell them all by the lot or by month like all your 6-9months and so forth, you would probably get a better deal. Also I heard on the radio yesterday a place called Plato's Closets in and around the Katy area, and I think you might be able to take them there to sell. Good Luck in your efforts!

Hi. I found a place at close to the corner of FM 529 and Hwy 6. It is called Once Upon a Child and is located in the Walmart parking lot.

You should try selling them on ebay! You can get more money for them or there is a resale (kids clothing only) shop on westheimer called crayons ! They have been there for years !
That is a good place to take some clothing/kids stuff.
Good luck !

I've seen suggestions for eBay but they charge to list items. I suggest craigslist because it's free to post listings. (www.houston.craigslist.com) Also, if you can, try to have a garage sale and list it in advance on the craigslist garage sale section saying that you have baby items. People will literally wipe you out of baby stuff at garage sales.

Hello K.,
Though not in Katy there is a place inside of Houston called Young and the Restless on Ella near 610 and they accept very gently used clothes and sell them on consignment. You get money or store credit when they sell.
Good luck!

"once upon a child" is a children's consignment store that will buy clothes, toys, etc.--I know there is one in the Walmart Center at 529 and Hwy. 6--That's not super close to the Katy area (more the Bear Creek/Copperfield), but depending on where you are in Katy it's something like a 20 minute drive. Or there might be one closer to you if you look them up in the phone book! There's got to be someplace similar in Katy but I just don't know any names to give you. Hopefully someone else will! :)

There is a place on Dairy Ashford and Westheimer. It is called Childrens Orchard. They will pay you for the clothes...I know a lot of people that go there and they have nice things for really cheap also. Hope this helps....have a good day!
