Outdoor Family Picture Locations

Hi! I am looking for a place where we could take outdoor family pictures... my whole family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.... before my nephew leaves for college! My neighbor is running her own photography business and I love her pictures, so we were looking for a place to go! Any ideas? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So many great suggestions!! Thanks, I think I will check them all out, but the wheaton and morton arboretum places seem ideal b/c I am out in the northwest suburbs, and the rest of my family is in the southwest burbs, might be a good meeting spot!

There are some pretty areas by the Fox River in downtown Elgin. There's a nice bridge and some neat shaded areas.

We had some professional family photos taken last Fall at Herrick Lake Forest Perserve in Wheaton.
It is a wonderful venue with a lot of beautiful options for different shots/backdrops/etc.

My family and I were visiting Lake Ellyn Park in Glen Ellyn one day when another family was having professional pictures taken. It was a beautiful fall day. The park is beautiful with large majestic trees and lots of shade with a lake in the same area as well. Just watch out for the goose poop depending what time of the year you go! Good luck!

Hi L.!
I'm not sure where you live but 2 BEAUTIFUL places that I know of are The Morton Arboretum and Cantigny. Gorgeous greenery and flowers!
Good luck!

Elmhurst has a beautiful observatory, we did my sister's wedding pictures there and they were beautiful amidst the lush gardens.
Good luck & have fun!
