Ouch - Hurting Feet!

I'm so glad it's spring and flip flops are coming out. My only problem is that piece on the flip flops between the big toe and 2nd toe always hurts the skin on my foot between my toes. With some flip flops it hurts after just a few steps.
I have some croc flip flops (very good arch support too) that I bought last year, but the fabric that goes between the toes is very rugged and makes it very difficult to walk without feeling sore.
Is there something that can be done to that piece between the toes on flip flops?
Or how does everyone else wear them without it hurting?

Thanks

What can I do next?

I can't do it either!!! I recently forgot my sandals on a trip & bought a cheap pair of flip flops... I was hobbling around in pain the whole trip!

They don't bother me, except on occasion...... that said I am wondering about the brands you are using. I don't seem to have problems with leather or Teva. Sometimes if you persevere your foot will toughen up....... sometimes not.

I sort of just build up a callous between my toes so that it doesn't hurt! By a week or so into summer it's just fine! ;) Also, I really like Teva flip flops. They are a bit pricey for flip flops but I caved one year when I found them on sale, and honestly, I'll never go back! That part in the middle if pretty soft and flexible on those too, you might check them out!

I have never been able to wear flip-flops. Ever. That little piece of rubber between the big toe and its cousin just does not work for me. Neither does it work for my daughter. So we buy sandals without the piece between the toes. I'd rather be in comfort than wear the "in" thing. Plus, flip-flops have absolutely no support for the feet/legs/arch and are the worst possible shoe to wear. Just ask any podiatrist. You'd be better off going barefoot. That said, there are a lot of nice sandals out there. If you want to go strictly for functional/every day wear and tear, check out Tevas and Keeno. You'll pay more, but they'll last forever. Same with Birkenstock. They are wonderful sandals and help the lower leg tone up nicely!

You can try wrapping it will mull skin. That'd be my first try.
Just cut a little strip to go and maybe wrap it around 2x to give you some padding.

I have a difficult time with flip flops too. I look for sandals without to toe divider. Check out DSW--lots of cute styles.

I have put mole skin (very soft with one side sticky you can cut to fit) on sandals that bother me. i hate flip flops only because of that stupid between toe piece. You can buy a package in the foot care aisle.

its funny, I was the same, all my life, but a couple years ago, I just "sucked it up", I wanted to wear flip flops so bad, I just did it. I think it something you get used to? Now I can wear almost any pair of them, yet for my first 30 years of life, just trying them on drove me nuts. No real advice, except to either give up the idea, or try and get used to it....

The thing with thong sandals is you have to keep your feet loose in them. If you stand for a second or sit down someplace, take your toes out of the straps. The longer you keep your toes in, the more sweat builds up. Your feet are already bare minus one thin strap across your foot. It's no big deal to just put your toes over the thong piece while you enjoy your lunch.

I cannot wear the thick ones they have to be the little skinny in between the toe thing or I cant wear them they drive me crazy. I tried for years to wear the "cute" thick ones I just cant take the pain so I just buy a couple pairs of the cheap little rubber ones and call it good
