My son broke his arm when he was 2. I can't remember the doctor, but I wanted to pass along the suggestion to you that you insist on a fiberglass, "waterproof" cast if she ends up needing one. It will make life sooo much easier.

We have seen Dr. Settecerri at Beaumont Royal Oak numerous times with my accident prone daughter (2 fractures and 2 sprains)and he is wonderful! He also did a hip replacement on my mom years ago before he started specializing in just kids.

Hi T.,

I'm not sure where you live, but the orthopedic surgeons at Garden City Hospital are great. My husband is a resident there. They are very good with kids. The office is called Great Lakes Orthopedics.

The address is 6255 Inkster Rd #103, Garden City, MI 48135 and the phone number is ###-###-####. It's just North of Ford Road on Inkster.

Good luck!

He has 5 kids and used to live accross the street from my parents years ago. I babysat for his first three kids years and years ago when they were young. Good people. Excellent doctor.

Hello,

Not sure what your insurance or what 'network' you belong with; but I have seen Dr. Michael Hubers out of Beaumont. He is located in Troy off of Kirts Blvd. Absolutely wonderful~ I saw him for all three knee scopes I had to have and he was just a great doctor throughout them all. (Only reason I had to go back, was we didn't realize until the last one that I had Rheumatoid Arthritis as he only removed the lining in the knee joint for me to see if it would grow back without the issues I was having.

My mother saw him, too for her broken ankle. Wasn't until later that I knew it was him or what happened, but she loves him!

He knows his stuff, he is young; so he is current, but still seems to care. As for kids: I saw a few in when I was in the waiting room. I do not think he is discriminant.

Good Luck!

Dr Sorce (pronounced Sore-say) in Canton made my son and I laugh so much the 1st, painful trip, it ended up feeling like a good time.

Hi T.,
My 1 year old just fractured his leg and I had a really hard time finding a specialist to take him to. Not a single office could get him for at least 2 weeks. I opted to pay the $75 co-pay that I have for ER visits and took him to Childrens hospital of Detroit where they have an Ortho specialist on call. Dr. Yassir was there to look at my x-rays and I then made an appointment to see him in a few days to get the cast or boot that my son needed. I did need to get a refural from my pcp for that second appointment. They were WONDERFUL at Childrens. Good Luck!! L. B
