I went on Ebay and got a toy net (hink that's what it's called). It just hangs in a corner of the kiddos bedroo, and you can shove a bunch of stuffed animals in them. Also get rid of theones they don't play with--stuffed animals get so overwhelming. I also got those cube organization systems from Target--I use them and put different themed toys in the different cubes--i.e. food and kitchen play toys in one, dress up in another, doll stuff in another...that has been the best thing ever, and my daughter actally plays with the stuff cause she can identify it!

Hang a big net from the ceiling and toss the stuffed animals in it. Keep out a few at a time for cuddling. For a girl's room we used tulle.

Do your boys play with the "lovies" frequently or are they more for looks and/or display?
If many can be displayed...instead of needing regular access we did the following...

My husband made wooden and rope swings about 3-4 feet long and hung them fron the ceiling (much to high for my son to try and get on himself). We positioned them pretty close to the wall and above his dresser. Then the "lovies" sat on them like they were swinging. We even wrapped their arms around the ropes and secured with safty pins. Some monkeys hung higher on the ropes hitching a ride.
It was such a cute effect and a nice focal piece for the room.

For general storage I am a huge fan of bins and baskets. Playthings can just be tossed in them and it looks clean. We used to have several open shelves on the wall with very pretty baskets on them holding toys.

Check IKEA for great organizing ideas especially for kids...

Have you tried corner nets to hang in the corners? They work great. Everything is still in view and you can always switch out the toys for your little ones.

Good luck!

Here's something totally different: A bag that becomes a bean bag type chair when you fill it with all of your stuffed animals. It's by Boon, the company that makes a lot of other cool stuff. Hope this link works! http://booninc.com/products/OvalAnimalBag

Ikea has hanging nets with holes. They actually look really cute in a bedroom corner filled with stuffed animals.
I see you are from St. Louis. Are you a MIZZOU grad?

Check out this cube system at Target. We got 6 of the boxes that fit perfectly in the cubes. It is great to have one cube for cars, one for balls, one for blocks... We didn't seperate the bottom shelf into 3 sections, we left it open for larger toys. I love how it organized my son's toys organized.
Good luck!

I use hanging toy hammocks for the stuffed animals. For the rest, I put them in those 3-drawer plastic bins from walmart and label each drawer with what it is by taking a picture of the contents and putting the word. So, for example, his blocks say the word 'blocks' and have a picture of his blocks

I got a net laundry basket from IKEA in the children's department and throw all the stuffed toys in there. It works great for us.
