Opinions on Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton
I had my first baby at Plano Presby and loved it; however now I am planning on having a second, I am not sure where to go now that I no longer have maternity insurance. My husband is self-employed and I quit work to be a SAHM. I called around and Trinity has the best price by thousands of dollars! I would also be needing a C-Section since that is what I had first time. I don't want to risk a VBAC. Has anyone had experience there? Thanks.

I had my baby at Plano Presby as well and LOVED it! My only experience with Trinity Medical was through their ER...and it was the most HORRIBLE experience for me!!! I vowed never to go there for anything; however, I know that ERs can be horrid, but the rest of the hospital can be great...so, whatever that's worth. Good luck!

I really loved Trinity!! I loved having my own room. The L & D was great for me, no problems. Post was good too... They have good food too. I was always worried about "Hospital" food, but they had good food!!

i had my birth baby there.
My post partum was awesome ( i got a great nurse)
L and D was so so i had agood nurse firsat then a bad and eventually a good one.
I love that they have ALL private rooms.
They did my baby a pacifier and i had to inform them that they should brig the baby to me to BF if the baby was crying.
I suggest you write a birth plan an dyou should be good.

I have had both of my boys at Trinity and have had to pay out of pocket for both of them. They took really good care of me during each delivery.
I highly recommend Trinity.

I had my first child at Presby Plano too! It was a C-section and I really loved delivering there. My second child was born at Trinity (via C-section) and I was VERY happy. I really didn't think it would be comparable to Presby but it was great! Great staff and care. Go and get a tour and see what you think. We were surprisingly impressed with our experience there.

I'm glad to add to the postive feedback. I had both my kids there via C-section (2003 & 2004). We live in Frisco but I used to live in Carrollton and kept my Dr. (Dr. Sigman) so I delivered there. I was easy, great nurses, great follow up and good security. They had a great lacation specialist too and when I had problems nursing at home, the gave me several references to lacation consultants that make home visits (there was a cost for her, but she was a God send and got my son latched on). Congrats on the upcoming birth...

I grew up in Carrollton, so when the hospital first opened way back when, everyone was very excited to have a new hospital so close to us. However, I've had a few experiences there that weren't so great and have heard a couple of horror stories from others, but everything bad has always been about the ER (like one of the other posts states, as well).
There are some good doctors out of Trinity, though. Ceazar Aleman is one of them. My sister used to work for him & my mom used to do his billing. I also used to see OBGyn from Trinity - Frederick Crutzman. I guess he was an ok doc, but his bedside manners pretty much stunk.
Never have heard anything about deliveries though, so I can't give you any info on that.
Trinity Medical and RHD Memorial Hospital (used to be called Deadman Hospital years ago...guess they finally realized it was a bad name for a Hospital!) are sister hospitals that are run by TENET. I worked for the Marketing Department once at RHD Memorial Hospital. There were a lot of positive advancements going on at the time for both of these facilities, so there's some more positive feedback for you.
You may try posting the doc's name that you'd be using. Chances are he may practice at another hospital & maybe someone has info for you on him/her specifically. That has always helped me in making decisions like these.
Good luck!
