If my husband and I are pregnant, that would be great, but if we aren't, that's perfect too. Here to get some insight. I have a dr. appt tommorow morning, but I'm dying to hear some thoughts.
Last month, my period was 2 weeks late, and then I finally started, but it was just spotting for 3-4 days. Then, a week later, I had more spotting for a couple of days. Blood and otc preg. testswere negative then.
It has been 35 days since the first day of the first spotting. (my cycles are 30-32 days usually). I took a test last night and got a very faint postitve. I took another test that was negative. Then I had another very faint positve again at 2pm. It was not evaporation lines, as I looked at the results within the given amount of time.
I havn't gained any weight, I don't feel tired, but my breasts have been sore to the touch. I'm just shaking with nervousness until it's verified at the doc. We weren't planning a baby, but we're doing the "if it happens, it happens" thing.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, it looks like Im not pregnant. The doc is doing bloodwork to test for pregnancy, and also my thyroid, progesterone, prolactin, etc. to see what's going on. He will be doing a sonogram tommorow to check for cysts/fibroids, and he wants me to chart my ovulation next month, and it I am not ovulating, then he'll be putting me on Clomid (again). Thanks for the well wishes ladies.

I got a false positive from a home pregnancy test due to a cyst on my ovary... They apparently produce a chemical that can trick the OTC tests to interpret it as HCG. The insert in the test box also states that cysts can result in a false result... Not necessarily saying you definitely have a cyst; just saying that my own experiences with home tests have not always been correct.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble here but once when I thought I was pregnant I took 3 pregnancy tests in a row. 2 came back faint positive and one negative. My husband called the company of the 2 positive ones and was told that if it was even a faint positive then I was pregnant. Scheduled an OB-GYN appointment for 2 days later and I wasn't pregnant. What a let down! No I didn't have a miscarriage because there was no bleeding or cramping.

Good Luck!

Good Luck!!
Do you cycle chart? If not, and if you aren't pregnant this time, I suggest you do it. My friend had negative pee and blood tests for 2 weeks, but she knew she was pregnant because her temperature never dropped.
Check out "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" to learn about charting your cycles so you know when you're fertile, when you ovulate, and whether or not you could be pregnant when you don't get your period.

If you can test with the first urine in the am that would probably give you the best answer. Good luck!

You wouldn't have gotten a positive unless you were pregnant. The HCG hormone can only be in your body when you're pregnant. So, that's exciting... I was the same way, I couldn't believe it and now I'm 12 weeks :)

congrats!

You are preggers! With my first, the line was very faint too. I was confused because I thought the line would be big and bold. I called the number on the box and the man that answered(Iknow, funny a man, huh?!)said that any line, even if it is faint, means you are pregnant! Congratulations!!! :)
