My daughter is 13 years old and on the small side - she wears a size 12. She wants to wear stylish clothes that are age appropriate, but modest, but can only find clothes her size that are for younger kids. She is too small to fit Aeropostale and Delia's too. Does anyone know where I can buy stylish, age appropriate clothes for a small teen?
I've found my daughter some nice XS shirts from the juniors department at Penneys. She's 13 and a size 12 too. We also shop find some decent things at Target. Kohls is hit or miss - sometimes the clothes they have that fit are too young looking for her. Good luck. It's a challenge.
My daughter is 14 years old and still wears a 12 in kids! Have you tried the 00 at Aeropastle? They seem to fit my daughter. To avoid buying kids we try to get away with XS in juniors. Sometimes (especially if there is a drawstring) we are lucky and it will work. They dedicate so many new options to plus size kids now and nothing to the skinny minnies :( I wish you luck...
My daughter, 13, is not yet 5 foot and weighs around 80 pounds, we've done very well with a slim size 10, 12, 14 at abercrombie kids, american eagle, old navy and gap slims are too big, lately she's close to a 00 in juniors....for cheaper stuff we go to target, found the tween clothes there running skinny as well
Limited Too was great for that stuff but changed their name to Justice, I think. The clothes were teen style but kid sized. See if they have one at your Mall, and they may even have the type of swimsuits you are seeking.
What about CrewCuts, J Crew's children's line? Super cute clothing, not too juvenile. Sizes go up to 14...
I always check Ebay first for all my favorite brands...

My friend's daughter is slender/petite too... and so she buys the "slim" cut sizes... old navy has some, and Target and the other stores I listed.
Whatever size your daughter is... you can look for the "slim" cut sizing... for her size.
How about Justice? They focus on tweens and teens. Their clothes are trendy and fashionable, I'm not sure if they're all modest, but you can certainly pick and choose. How about Old Navy? Is she getting too old for The Children's Place? I know some kids that age like Aeropostle.
Try abercrombie kids! Usually at 13, a girl would be bridging over to A&F, but if she's small like you said, she may be able to fit into the really skinny sizes at abercrombie kids. I think Justice has slim and half sizes, but usually at thirteen, glitter and sequins is not usually their thing. Also, Hollister has pretty small sizes too.

My 15 1/2 yr old gets size 00 slim jeans at Abercrombie. She also wears XS -S shirts shirts there, depending on the style.
Again, some modest things can be found at Kohls and Target.
