Obs at Presbyterian Dallas

I've just found out we're expecting our third child & will need a new OB. I really like my regular guy, Dr. Gregory Chapman, but it's necessary for me to find someone else. I've had great experiences at Presby Dallas & have compiled a list of "maybes" who deliver there & I'd love to hear personal recommendations if anyone has 'em!

Robert S. Darrow
David C. Fein
A Jay Staub

(Edited to add: Due to being a stay at home mom this time around & my husband's recent career change, I'll need to find an OB who accepts Medicaid.)

What can I do next?

Hi M.,

I also use Dr. Clark Griffith and have for 7 years now. He's actually my dads best friend (still doesn't make it weird at appts. though). He's a great doctor and always listens to my concerns. I love how quick his visits can be and when you're a mother of 2 and 1 on the way, sometimes you need a visit that doesn't seem to take alllll day long!
Good Luck in whoever you choose and feel free to message me if you have any questions.
Oh, and I'm also on Pregnancy medicaid but I know he only accepts a certain number of cases a month so you might want to call him and leave a message for him to personally call you back and see if he'll take you.
If you're interested in a female OB, try Natalie Light. Shes also in Griffiths office. She delivered my second and was also very good but her visits always seemed to take a long time (waiting wise) which I really didn't want this time around.
Congrats & Good Luck!

I had Dr. Bertrand...I know he wasn't on your list...but he's always in high demand on always on the D Magazine top doctor list. When I delivered my first baby with him over 4 years ago, he had already delivered 10,000 babies!!!! And, actually, only because of his vast experience was (I believe) why everything turned out okay for me. I was 41 weeks and hadn't dropped yet and most doctors would induce but he felt like we should go c-section.....we did and it turned out the umbilical cord was wrapped around my daughters neck 5 times and that's why she didn't drop. If he would have induced, it definitely would have caused trauma and then we would have had to do a c-section anyway.....good luck picking a great doctor....and congrats!!!

I used to work for an OB/GYN's office. I am pretty sure all OB/GYNs have to be on some form of Medicaid for when they are on-call in the ER. Most don't advertise this because they prefer to not take on Medicaid patients in the office due to reimbursement issues. I agree that you should call and leave a message to speak with him directly. If you are an existing patient he would probably make an exception in your case. Just make sure you speak with him directly, not a nurse. Only he can make that kind of decision. Congrats!

Dr Jonathan Brough is the best! He is located in the Margo Perot Building

He has delivered 3 of my babies (2 live, 1 still), he was awesome through all of them & very comforting when I lost my son @ 20 wks pg.
There are 3 other drs in the office, Dr Angela Angel, Dr Kavitha Blewitt & Dr Lisa Remedios. They are all awesome too! You will meet each of them before you deliver in case Dr Brough is not "on call" or out of town.
Check out the website above to read about the dr's & practice. Let me know if you have any questions.

Good Luck!

We had Dr. Felicia Tillman deliver our twins and she's out of Presby Dallas.

Dr. Jonathan Brough at Presby Dallas delivered all 3 of my kids and I can't say enough good things about him! The nurses in labor and delivery have told me he is their favorite and has delivered a lot of their own children.

Dr. Fogwell!!! I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is the only doctor in his office (but he does cover with doctors from two other practices, whom also have solo practices. Prior to your due date, he has you go to one appointment with each of them, in case you give birth at a time when Dr. Fogwell is off/out of town). It is VERY personalized - he will make you feel as though you are the only client he needs to see that day. The office staff will know you -- and he does awesome c-sections (if you should require one - none of my friends or family could believe how small my scar is -- and I had 2!).

Congratulations!!!!

S.
